What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network, Dancing with the Stars is a competitive dancing reality show featuring celebrity contestants paired with professional dance partners, competing for the mirrorball trophy. Bergeron and Andrews return to host Dancing with the Stars season 24. Judges include Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Julianne Hough. Celebrities competing in cycle 24 are Bonner Bolton, Charo, Chris Kattan, David Ross, Erika Jayne, Heather Morris, Mr. T, Nancy Kerrigan, Nick Viall, Normani Kordel, Rashad Jennings, and Simone Biles.
The professional dancing partners in this cycle are Sharna Burgess, Keo Motsepe, Witney Carson, Lindsay Arnold, Gleb Savchenko, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Kym Herjavec, Artem Chigvintsev, Peta Murgatroyd, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Emma Slater, and Sasha Farber.
Members of the season 24 troupe, who perform but are not partnered with a celeb, are Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Brittany Cherry, Hayley Erbert, and Britt Stewart.
Season 24 Ratings
The 24th season of Dancing with the Stars averaged a 1.64 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 10.48 million viewers. Compared to season 22 (Spring 2016), that’s down by 7% and down by 11%, respectively. Find out how Dancing with the Stars stacks up against other ABC TV shows.
On May 11, 2017, Dancing with the Stars was renewed for
season 25 (Fall 2017) and season 26 (Spring 2018).

Telly’s Take
As with other long-running TV series, Dancing with the Stars believes it can avoid my talons forever. But eventually, even the mighty fall. That said, I suspect this series is safe for at least another couple of cycles. Still, I will keep an eye on the ratings and update this page from time to time. Please DON’T cancel Dancing with the Stars, it is our favorite show, there is so much junk on TV now, this is a family show that we watch together every Monday!!!
Please have ABC keep on “Dancing With The Stars”. It’s only one of a few shows I enjoy, even though ‘m Older than the demographic age the channels so desire. I remember we we only had a few channels to choose from – 2-4-5-7-9-11-13. It was easier to remember the shows and the channels they were on. I would also like to see Eric , Marc, Maks, Luis, Marc’s father, and even Julienne backs as pros. They brought something special to the show. Thanks for putting up with my ravings
Shocked it hasn’t been renewed yet. Usually they announce both seasons of the year at once. Maybe they are distracted by all the wheeling and dealing over a potential American Idol reboot for next year. Guess that might replace season 26, but surely we’ll get season 25 first. .
