Telly’s Take
Designated Survivor premiered to much lower numbers than last season and the ratings have dropped quite low over the course of the season. Though ABC wants this series to survive to see a third season, I just don’t think enough viewers tune in. I’ve heard that it does well internationally. If it is renewed, that will be the reason why. For now, I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsens and update this page with breaking developments. Subscribe for free updates on any Designated Survivor cancellation or renewal news.

Keep it going!! Even a fictional President who keeps his word is a breath of fresh air
Please dont tell me this is being cancelled as it was we had to wait months between shows Please keep it
Kept, as you only put crap on when you take off the good programs and there have been too many Good shows taken off . I will never understand the American mind about TV shows when they are good they take them off when they are rubbish they keep the on for ever it seems ,like the spoilt brats on the reality shows they should ban them for good .
Are you serious? You canceled the best show that ABC has. It is the only show on ABC I watch and now you are taking that away? Please, please bring it back. What do we have to do bring it back?
