The peacock network has found ratings success with the dark Grimm series on Friday nights. Is there room for another spooky thriller or will Dracula be cancelled quickly like so many other series? Stay tuned!
NBC’s Dracula is a retelling of the classic Bram Stoker story. In London, Dracula (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is posing as an American entrepreneur while he seeks revenge on those who cursed him. He doesn’t count on falling in love with a woman (Jessica De Gouw) who looks just like his deceased wife. Others in the cast include Thomas Kretschmann, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Victoria Smurfit, Katie McGrath, and Nonso Anozie.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/10 update: NBC has cancelled Dracula after one season and 10 episodes.
Final season averages: 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.25 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page. You can also see them here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

hopefully they won’t cancel the show. like some have already mentioned, the talent is great and the show is brilliant.
it probably didn’t help (in terms of viewers) that there was a month in between episodes 6 & 7, but I think if they continue with a 2nd season they’re going to see those numbers go up.
This is a diamond in the ruff, talent here is awesome. The lead is ready to become a huge star. Really there’s no stopping it.

Dracula is the breakout sleeper hit of the year 2013. It’s one of the best renditions of this old folklore story portrayed in recent years. I hope the delay in announcement of a season 2 is because of contact renewals & production scheduling with the actors and actresses, & not because of lack of interest in the show from it’s fans. The NBC Dracula face book page has proved success for this drama series by having well over 700,000 “Likes” & it seems to grow by a 1,000 plus every few days. I read that an announcement if there is… Read more »
vampie no one could have said it more eloquently or truthfully. From your mouth to NBCs ears! Might I suggest NBC.com/Dracula with the same post and Jonathan rhys Meyers@vilivili20. Bravo!
Thank you for your wonderful and thoughtful comentary on this great program. I have been a fan of the Dracula myth for decades, I wondered if this TV series would capture my interest. I’m now watching it again for the umpteenth time. It’s television at it’s best, the acting, costumes and sets are superb.
First of all Vampie, let me say to you BRAVO! Very well said. You should be a writer. I too love this show and have signed one of those petitions and posted several comments on this site. I like your name.
Thank you Vampie! You speak for a lot of us. Very well said! 🙂
I agree Vampie, yes perfectly said…
It is epic!!!! Love it and NBC , but I will not be happy with NBC at all if they cancel this show especially after keeping the first episodes on NBC.com for viewers to catch up on, then axe it. My DVR died and I lost all of my episodes of it and I am watching them now on the website. I would have to catch up and be left hanging!!!!! PLEASE KEEP IT!!!!!!!!!!!! Keeo my respect for you NBC as the best network 🙂
Please please renew DON’T TAKE AWAY!!!!
Please by all means CANCEL this pathetic show! This Dracula SUCKS.
