The peacock network has found ratings success with the dark Grimm series on Friday nights. Is there room for another spooky thriller or will Dracula be cancelled quickly like so many other series? Stay tuned!
NBC’s Dracula is a retelling of the classic Bram Stoker story. In London, Dracula (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) is posing as an American entrepreneur while he seeks revenge on those who cursed him. He doesn’t count on falling in love with a woman (Jessica De Gouw) who looks just like his deceased wife. Others in the cast include Thomas Kretschmann, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Victoria Smurfit, Katie McGrath, and Nonso Anozie.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/10 update: NBC has cancelled Dracula after one season and 10 episodes.
Final season averages: 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.25 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page. You can also see them here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Dracula TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for second season?
PLEASE Renew!! One of the only shows that I care to watch!!! Renew!!!
I JUST LOVE THIS SHOW CAN;T WAIT FOR THE NEXT SERIES…PLEASE DONT CANCEL IT. THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH EXCELLENT SHOWS LIKE DRACULA ON ANYMORE. HOPING TO SEE SEASON 2 REAL SOON 🙂
This show is of such great quality. Very well done. Please do not ! cancel this show ! It deserves to be renewed.
RENEW RENEW RENEW
It will be airing 10 episodes this Fall. It is not cancelled.
It has not been renewed either. No new episodes are planned thus far.
That’s impossible. They haven’t even started production yet. Last season filming began in February. It’s already April and nothing has started. If it comes back at all, it will be January or later.
yea, that was last year’s statement.
OMG! DO NOT cancel this show! Sorry NBC but your track record concerning cancelling popular shows SUCKS! Had there not been a writers strike, we might still be watching Heroes. THAT was engaging and edge of your seat, unexpected. It irritates me just thinking about it really. You have Jonathan Rhys Meyers for petes sake as the lead! Really?? His acting in The Tudors was nothing short of brilliance. Oh, and I have mentioned that he is HOT, HOT, HOT?! On the surface, he is attractive. There is something more beyond that. He portrays the “poker face” like none other;… Read more »
That’s it exactly Beth. You made your point(s) well & I do have younger relatives who may only watch one show a week w/school,jobs,toddlers,etc. but this is the one they made time for.
Thank you dear for speaking so well for your demographic & your generation. Kate
Renewed
Alicea Flynn- do you mean has been or should be renewed?Just woke up & saw your post, half asleep-hope spelled your name right.Hope you have good news.I’m horrified a show about a cannibal can get renewed &this Dracula has to be fought for like this.Thanx.
If this is current as it sounds, we did our job well.
NBC has picked up “Dracula” to series. Dracula arrives in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who maintains that he wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. In reality, he hopes to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life centuries earlier. The show will begin this fall for a 10 episode season.
My nephew just told his mom that Dracula had been canceled for sure.Does anyone know if this is true?
No, it hasn’t been cancelled or renewed yet.
Thanks so much admin. Will let them know.Know I am so relieved, still have hope.Keep at ’em folks,we need to get this show saved.Maybe his revelation about no underwear during sex scenes will bring more attention, more supporters.Certainly got my attention.
Renew!!
I love this show. You can’t cancel now its just getting good. They finally got together and things got to get better for them. All my shows are getting canceled these days, please don’t take this one too. RENEW!
Love this series, a new modern twist on a classic …with a sexy Dracula (thank you) !!! I love that the story keeps close to the original but deviates enough to keep me wanting to know more.
scott G you are right! Reality shows are the worst when they could be having something classy, beautiful, intriguing, and new on the old story of Dracula! I went to cole haddon twitter and left a message to renew the show. He is the creator of Dracula and keeps everyone informed. But if we don’t let them know directly that we love the show, it probably will be cancelled. That would be a shame not to see Mina and Lucy anymore, especially now that Lucys “condition” is just getting a grip on her!
Just tweeted Cole Haddon. Thanks for the info. I suggest you all do that.
We love the show it’s the grown up version and the original Vamp story. I fail to see or for that matter understand why bogus, mind numbing drivel like, ” Honey Boo-Boo “, gets renewed a, ” real life “, docu-drama on how not to eat, act or raise your spawn. The fact that an A-One actor, ( Jonathan Rhys Meyers no less ) has the lead/title character makes it all the more intriguing. But no, let’s watch shows about an overweight, mini-tornado and her repulsive nest mates, a la Jerry Springeresque antics , awesome, NOT !
Ima Rudedog, I totally agree with you about Honey Boo Boo and have said the same thing here before. I don’t understand. I love this Dracula and really love Jonathan Rhy Meyers. There are so many shows, and the networks keep bringing out more, on the air now that all they do is dumb the public down more and more.
Couldn’t agree more,Amen to that,Ima Rudedog. Like in the old Springsteen song bout all these channels& NOTHIN ON! Almost didn’t watch it but caught an ad saw 1second of his face-that was it! I’ m 60,seen all kinds of vampires(ho-hum) but this is classy, cool,& sexy. Not something I say about much these days. All our kids, grandkids( older ones) love it,too.Keep on letting NBC know what they have here,ya’ll.
Ima, I couldn’t agree more and what would they probably replace it with some stupid reality show. I love this show and Grimm, Copper. Also they always cancel it without finishing the plot of the shows. No one should buy the Series because of this too. Don’t let them make money on something they couldn’t finish.
Oh and right now I am unemployed and without TV so I go through Hulu and choose what I watch. Maybe they need to think about all the other people who right now all they have is TV for entertainment and these shows are what they wait for every week.
So I’ll watch less if they cancel and maybe even cancel there station as I did Showtime.
RENEW!!!
RENEW!!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!
Love this show. Please don’t cancel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i love you ! dracula !
The show is beautifully filmed, with amazing actors portraying believable, multi- dimensional characters and with a new twist on a familiar story. The show has so much potential. NBC, PLEASE RENEW “DRACULA” !!
I agree, please don’t cancel!! So tired of the drama filled reality shows!
