Season two of Easy will feature at least one familiar face. According to The Independent, Marc Maron will return for the new season of the Netflix TV show.
From filmmaker Joe Swanberg, the anthology comedy-drama follows “diverse Chicago characters as they fumble through the modern maze of love, sex, technology and culture.” The season once cast includes Orlando Bloom, Malin Akerman, Jake Johnson, Dave Franco, Hannibal Buress, Emily Ratajkowski, Michael Chernus, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Aya Cash.
On the Independent’s podcast Kernels, Maron revealed he just shot an episode for season two of Easy:
The thing about working with Swanberg is you don’t know what’s going to happen in those scenes coz he really gives you very little, it’s barely an outline in terms of what’s going to happen in the scene. So the emotions that happen on the takes – of which you don’t do many – are fairly genuine as long as you’re present.”
Speaking to The Playlist, Swanberg revealed season two of the Netflix series will contain eight episodes:
I’m about to start season two, we’ll start shooting pretty soon, we’ll shoot another eight episodes and I’m really hoping that in between film projects, “Easy” is a thing I can keep returning to and following these characters over time. That’s another exciting aspect of nearly following these characters in real time in a way that movies never really allow.”
What do you think? Did you see season one of Easy? Will you watch season two?
