This TV series gives a new take on the classic Arthur Conan Doyle characters. It’s a modern-day drama about a crime-solving duo that cracks the NYPD’s most impossible cases.
Following his fall from grace in London and a stint in rehab, eccentric detective Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) escapes to Manhattan where his wealthy father forces him to live with his worst nightmare — a sober companion, Doctor Joan Watson (Lucy Liu). She was a successful surgeon until she lost a patient and her license three years ago.
Watson views her current job as another opportunity to help people, as well as paying a penance. However, the restless Sherlock is nothing like her previous clients. He informs her that none of her expertise as an addiction specialist applies to him and he’s devised his own post-rehab regimen — resuming his work as a police consultant in New York City.
Watson finds she has no choice but to accompany her irascible new charge on his jobs. In the end, Sherlock finds her medical background helpful, and Watson realizes she has a knack for playing investigator.
Sherlock’s police contact is Captain Tobias “Toby” Gregson (Aidan Quinn). He knows, from previously working with Scotland Yard, that Sherlock is brilliant at closing cases, and welcomes him as part of the team.

Amidst Holmes and Watson’s battle with tech billionaire Odin Reichenbach, the investigators receive word of their old enemy and Sherlock’s former love, Jamie Moriarty.

I really enjoyd the show They were good investigators Sherlock was so good at solving cases Joan who learned from sherlock was very good too They worked well with the detectives It was a good show different than most shows
I love this show! Why would a good show be cancelled when u have so many other crappy shows that stay on the air for years and years like Big Brother and so many others like it. Which by the way I can’t stand…
Please renew. Please please please! Surely this is just a faking of a death of a series! The best series on TV ~ it deserves further investigation….!
My favorite show for last seven seasons. Never missed an episode. One of the few well written shows with excellent actors available on tv. An entertaining hour . CBS please reconsider!!! Or if CBS will not renew hopefully another network will pick up with season 8.
I loved the show and was pleased that they ended it with an obvious path to resurrection and continuation, hopefully by a network that won’t run it all around the schedule so you never know when or if it will be on.

Elementary should have been renewed fro another season- it is one of the best shows on TV! The Last Bow left things open for another season!

Bad idea for CBS to cancel a very entertaining series. There is far too much mindless drivel on tv nowadays. I would love for someone to pick up Season 8 provided that the actors are on board.
Really would like to have Elementary continue! I have watched every show multiple times!
Elementary should have continued. It still can be should the network decide to do so. It would be easy to pick up where the finale left off. I will miss it.

This was one of the best detective shows on tv I sucks that it was ended
