TV show description:
A mystery thriller TV show, Emergence takes place in Peconic Bay on Long Island, New York. In the series, Jo Evans (Tolman) is a newly divorced police chief and the mother of a teenage daughter named Mia (Aufderheide).
Jo ends up taking in a young child named Piper (Swinton) who is found at the site of a mysterious accident and she has no memory of what happened. Jo’s investigation into the child’s mystery draws her into a conspiracy that is larger than she could have imagined. A series of bizarre electronic disruptions, unexplained forces, and a strange cryptic symbol are also all tied to the young girl.
Other characters include: Jo’s father, Ed (Brown), who’s also battling cancer; Jo’s concerned ex-husband and Bree’s father, Alex Evans (Faison); investigator Benny Gallagher (Yeoman); Chris Minetto (Bailey Jr.), a police officer; and Jo’s best friend, Abby Frasier (Guevara), a pediatrician.

Awesome show – I truly hope that it will actually be renewed as I am riveted by the storyline. I love that they have chosen regular looking folks for most of the roles, it makes everything seem even more plausible.

I started watching Emergence and saw two shows and none since the first two. I thought I’d like it, but didn’t get much of a chance to know if I’d like it or not after only seeing it twice. I think it deserves a chance until we can decide what we like or do not like about it.
It’s worth watching the rest of the episodes to date. Grab the ABC app and watch them.
I liked it a mixture of science fiction and mystery. It was superior to Pandora with its cheap computer graphics and poor writing. I liked the contrast of being frightened of the child and moved by her child like innocence and being compelled to love protect and nurture her. For once something original out of Hollywood. The show is like a breath of fresh air, I like the it keeps me watching for the 60 minutes

I loved the series premier. I can’t wait to see where this show is going to go. So far one of my new favs.
I am a hard core sci-fi fan and I think that the show, Emergence, has possibilities but it is poorly presented. The sound quality is poor and somewhat hard to hear at normal volume.
The image quality is soft-ish and the lighting is poor. I did not buy a hi-def/hi-res TV in order to watch poor quality TV.
The show looks like it was done by the same people that gave us the new “Card Sharks” that suffered from the same maladies.
