TV show description:
A mystery thriller TV show, Emergence takes place in Peconic Bay on Long Island, New York. In the series, Jo Evans (Tolman) is a newly divorced police chief and the mother of a teenage daughter named Mia (Aufderheide).
Jo ends up taking in a young child named Piper (Swinton) who is found at the site of a mysterious accident and she has no memory of what happened. Jo’s investigation into the child’s mystery draws her into a conspiracy that is larger than she could have imagined. A series of bizarre electronic disruptions, unexplained forces, and a strange cryptic symbol are also all tied to the young girl.
Other characters include: Jo’s father, Ed (Brown), who’s also battling cancer; Jo’s concerned ex-husband and Bree’s father, Alex Evans (Faison); investigator Benny Gallagher (Yeoman); Chris Minetto (Bailey Jr.), a police officer; and Jo’s best friend, Abby Frasier (Guevara), a pediatrician.

Why do you ALWAYS cancel good shows like this. It’s not only a good show, with a great cast & storylines it also doesn’t contain swearing (I hate the “f” word being used in every sentence (or every other). Bring it back – it is obviously a good show that has a lot of followers & we all want to see the full story unfold.
I think that when a series is canceled the network needs to complete the series. Leaving major unanswered questions just pisses off the viewers. There are several networks I will not watch anymore. Doesn’t matter what they broadcast. And if it’s too expensive to film a 1 to 3 hour ending. They need to publicly release the final scripts.

I don’t watch much network programming. But this shoe was compelling. Thank God for Hulu… I can watch it again there. I’m watching Clueless right now. Network TV needs to watch the BBC for new ideas.
I loved the series and I’m fussy. The actress playing Jo was incredible. Strong portrayal. I’ve never seen a actress convey compassion so well. Strong acting from all cast. Very disappointed if it doesn’t continue. I’ve had to listen to a lot of advertisements so it must have been great or I wouldn’t have done so!
Why cancelle a great series that i take tine not only to see it but also to record. There is other shows/ series that in my opinion is a waste of time on tv… BRING THIS SERIES BACK .
I’m saddened that this show was canceled. It was original and well acted. Please explain to me how “reality” shows never go away but the shows worth your time that are actually interesting always get cancelled.

I thought/think “Emergence” one of the absolute cream of the crop, a show I absolutely never missed……..looking at the junk ABC renewed and “Emergence” being cancelled is beginning to solidify my view of humanity and certainly of the network brass. PLUS, ABC, which viewers are the ones who buy the products and stay for the next show on line and value your network, “Emergence” viewers or those who follow some drivel sit com (usually dismissed after the second try)? I absolutely love this show and will be extremely upset if it is not renewed for another season. It’s different and that’s what I like about it plus it has a wonderful CAST!!!! RENEW PLEASE!
I absolutely love this show. It’s different and I like that. The cast is awesome too. Please renew the series. I hate it when you all cancel a series I really like after just 1 or 2 seasons so please keep this series going.
