The competitors of the Extracted TV series are not unlike that of new network television shows. Many will try to survive, but most will fail. Will this new series make the cut and survive to see a second season? Will Extracted be cancelled or renewed? Stay tuned.
A survivalist competition series, the Extracted TV series features 12 untrained players attempting to survive extremely grueling conditions, perilous terrain, and the threat of fearsome predators in the unforgiving Canadian wilderness. Meanwhile, some miles away, their family members are locked down at a secluded headquarters and watching them navigate their dangerous surroundings alone via a 24/7 live feed. As tensions mount and strategic alliances are forged in HQ, the opposing families negotiate and compete to send essential lifelines and resources to their competitors in the wild to help them endure the harsh conditions. Each amateur survivalist’s family has the power to decide whether their loved one has what it takes to brave the elements and fight to be the last one standing, or whether the family will push the ominous “Extract” button and remove their loved one and their whole family from the competition and the chance to win the $250,000 prize.
Nielsen Ratings
The Nielsen ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances of survival. This chart is updated as new ratings data becomes available.
4/23 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the final national ratings, including all live+same day viewing and DVR playback (through 3:00 AM). While these numbers don’t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel. There can be other economic factors involved in a show’s fate, but typically the higher-rated series are renewed and the lower-rated ones are cancelled.
Extracted has been renewed for a second season, which will debut (TBD). Stay tuned for further updates.
What do you think? Do you like the Extracted TV series on FOX? Are you glad it has been renewed for a second season?
Renew Extracted! I love that show!!!
I’m sure the contestants and the “support” people were selected because many are immature, privileged, prima donna, cry babies. Even to the untrained eye, the families are non-communicative, and incredibly dysfunctional. There is plenty of misdirected outwardly anger, and complaining about personal issues, rather than initiating action to resolve their conflicts. Contestants are incredibly unqualified, constantly crying and complaining. Back in the HQ, they are ridiculed because they cannot perform simple survival skills that they do not possess. It is perfect to show that true “survival” is not easy. The intent of all this drama, is to add interest to the program.… Read more »
It was a first season experiment, the narratives in HQ told the story because the survivalists talking alone to a camera wasn’t going to captivate a FOX audience. Most of the HQ participants have been bland and there’s been no story, the few we did get to know have at least completed an arc, Ashley’s and Robyn’s family both demonstrated the power of love, and to people with actual souls can appreciate it. We don’t care about “survival”, that’s just a prop to tell a bigger story. Go watch Alone if you want survival stories!
Interesting twist on “Alone”. I’m in!
