Freeform cancelled its freshman drama series Guilt and Dead of Summer, yet renewed Beyond for season two, which only beat out Guilt by a smidgen, and didn’t do as well in the ratings as Dead of Summer — at least in linear broadcasts. The difference? Upon its premiere, the former ABC Family also released the entire first season of Beyond online, on Demand, and on the Freeform app, where it performed well with its binge-loving, younger-skewing target audience. Now they’re trying the same approach for Famous In Love. Can this release model repeat its success? Will Famous In Love be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
A TV series adaptation of the Rebecca Serle novel, the Famous In Love TV show stars Bella Thorne, Carter Jenkins, Charlie Depew, Georgie Flores, Niki Koss, Pepi Sonuga, Keith Powers, and Perrey Reeves. The Freeform drama series centers on Paige Townsen (Thorne). Upon auditioning for Locked, an upcoming Hollywood blockbuster, Paige lands her first big break. Now, she has to acclimate herself to her newfound fame and all it entails, while still staying on top of her college studies. As her star rises, Paige can’t ignore the chemistry she’s developing with co-star Rainer Devon (Jenkins). Meanwhile, pop star Tangey Turner (Sonuga) has disappeared from sight. What happened to her, and why, remains to be seen. Paige needs to figure out the truth.

Famous in love is unique in its own way. The fact that the main character (Paige) can play a role in a movie and deal with outside problems is beyond me. She also has to deal with the struggle of loving so many people at once. I definitely think that Famous in love should be renewed for a season 2. I wasn’t to see how it goes. FAMOUS IN LOVE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! i finsihed all 10 episodes in less then a day , havent been excited for a tv show like that in a while! IT DEFINTELY SHOULD NOT BE CANCELLED !!!!

This show is awful. It has lost viewers every single episode. It started with a extremely disappointing 653k TOTAL viewers. Freeform has cancelled shows with an avg of 653k viewers. After their first show they lost HALF of those that show the first episode. Of the 389k viewers left [after only 2 episodes] this lost another 23%. Now there is only 299k viewers left. That is less than a 4 am infomercial on how to get rid of toe jam. They STILL managed to lose another 5.6% viewers. At this point, they can’t get away ad spots for this disaster.… Read more »

I am absolutely obsessed with this show !! I’ve rewatched in 5 times on Hulu/ on demand & get all of my friends and family hooked!! I’ve watched it so much I feel like I know the characters personally!!! Can’t wait for the many seasons to come!! Best show of 2017 !!
They had an all time demo low of a .1 [POINT one] after only 3 episodes. BTW, their demo is anyone with a pulse. They should just have a press release that she picked “whoever” and then applied to become a foreign exchange student and will be studying abroad for the next 3 years. Week 3 amounts to the “death nail” for this experiment. I never understood how someone like King would select Bella Thorne of all people to shoulder the weight of a weekly drama. Did she bother to watch any of her previous “productions.”
