For Life is tackling the COVID-19 pandemic when it returns from its winter hiatus. New episodes of the second season of the ABC series will arrive in late January.
Nicholas Pinnock, Indira Varma, Joy Bryant, Dorian Missick, Tyla Harris, and Timothy Busfield star in the drama, which is inspired by the life of Isaac Wright, Jr. The series tells the story of Aaron Wallace (Pinnock), an incarcerated man who becomes a licensed lawyer while still in prison. Aaron litigates cases for other inmates while fighting to overturn his own life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit. In season two, Aaron continues his battle against the political machine that once put him away undeservedly while trying to rebuild his life on the outside.
ABC revealed more about the mid-season premiere in a press release.
“After an urgent call from Bellmore concerning the growing COVID-19 pandemic, Aaron enlists Safiya’s help and heads back to the prison to investigate. Meanwhile Marie faces a choice: Expose her family to the virus or go all-in at the hospital on ABC’s For Life, WEDNESDAY, JAN. 27 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of For Life? Do you plan to watch the new episodes when the series returns in January?
I am looking forward to watching the next episodes in the second season of Life . This show deals with real life issues that are relatable to real life experiences. Bravo to all involved in the production of this great show.
Love the show don’t cancel it
Love this show, can’t wait for it to return. I have a loved one in federal prison and believe all Americans should be exposed to the realities of our socalled “justice” system. I wish the show exposed more of the cruel realty of life behind bars in many prisons.
Excellent writing and acting. Very impressive.
I’m familiar with the inside the outside.
Kudos to all writers, directors, producers, and actors.
Definitely! This is an excellent show!
I absolutely love this show; it is so realist; well it is an inspired story; but the characters are superb and it is going to rac the pandemic situation makes it even more realistic! i can’t wait! i wish it was a series non stop!!!!
This is Mrs Nix, there was a typo; i was trying to say tackle the pandemic, not rac; Thank you!
I think its a fair illustration of the systems backroom deals and purposeful injustices that take place within the criminal justice system as a former correction officer in NYS and now a professor of criminal justice at the graduate level I truly enjoy the shows twist & turns by Aron adjusting to life outside of prison and his attempt at peicing back his former relationships after nine years of incarceration and adapting to life in prison.
Dr. Godfrey
Great show timely with amazing actors.
I love this show. The acting is great and Pinnock is eye candy!
I love the show so much. I can’t wait until it returns, next season. Keep on the good work. The case is remarkable. Arron really plays. His part so we’ll. God bless the show. ♥️
I’d like to continue seeing For Life. It’s a different type of storyline than many other network series and my husband and I really like it. We liked it last season but I’m really interested to see where it goes this season. Please keep this on the air.
I really love the show call for life because it’s very inspiring to us as African-American is also inspiring for men that are in prison and maybe some that are in there under false pretense of a crime that they may not have done to give people of color a little hope that change is coming and so I love this show I don’t understand take a whole month off for them to come back.
I’ll be there with Bells on.
This story is identical to Arvil J Davenport’s except the crime but everything else is spot on and he needs His(tory) told 37.5 yrs down for a crime he didn’t commit
YES IF COURSE! Just don’t know it’s a month break?
Down to earth and eerily close to real life; there are definitely two standards of justic in America. One for white collar or white Anglo men and a completely other biased system for African Americans or Black Americans
This show is bound to ruffle some feathers because of the topics it addresses and the reality of a very biased justice system
Fantastic show. Look forward to it every week. Thank you to the cast members, crew and the writers. Stay safe.
