For Life is tackling the COVID-19 pandemic when it returns from its winter hiatus. New episodes of the second season of the ABC series will arrive in late January.
Nicholas Pinnock, Indira Varma, Joy Bryant, Dorian Missick, Tyla Harris, and Timothy Busfield star in the drama, which is inspired by the life of Isaac Wright, Jr. The series tells the story of Aaron Wallace (Pinnock), an incarcerated man who becomes a licensed lawyer while still in prison. Aaron litigates cases for other inmates while fighting to overturn his own life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit. In season two, Aaron continues his battle against the political machine that once put him away undeservedly while trying to rebuild his life on the outside.
ABC revealed more about the mid-season premiere in a press release.
“After an urgent call from Bellmore concerning the growing COVID-19 pandemic, Aaron enlists Safiya’s help and heads back to the prison to investigate. Meanwhile Marie faces a choice: Expose her family to the virus or go all-in at the hospital on ABC’s For Life, WEDNESDAY, JAN. 27 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC.”

I didn’t know what happened to the show. I was upset when I got all ready with my snacks, and turned to 27ABC, and to my behold, no “For Life.: Well then the next week and the next, I’m like hold up, what’s going on here, are they bringing it back on or what? So, now I see its coming back on Jan 27th. And I will call be right there if its God’s will. I been a fan from the beginning.
I love this show I watch every episode and I can’t wait until the new season starts I’m so excited
ugh yes
I love this show. I’ve seen every episode.
Love this show! Very different cuz it’s real. And good for him he’s out. Sorry it took so long tho.
Can’t wait for the new season to begin! This show is a reality that alot of people face and is informative as well as entertaining. Acting is a class act!
TV is supposed to take you away from reality and give a person a chance to be entertained by things that are a little less real. We see enough pain and heartache in real life and need a chance to unwind and not be tethered to real life problems. I want entertainment not facts of real events we are living thru everyday! #savestumptown
Says who? I for one want my dramas to be realistic. If one is looking for unrealistic ones, they might try checking out movies on Hallmark or drama shows from the 60s and 70s.
Realistic doesn’t equate to actual events that are occurring at the time the story unfolds.
Fantastic show. Have watched from very beginning. Can’t wait for season3 and beyond. Every actor and actress perfect for their roles. Gets to the heart of how many people suffer injustices but in this case the show shows there are people who care to resolve them each in their own way.
I have never watched the show
This was an amazing cast . I will be ready set to watch come on
