The Alphabet Network is sticking with Fresh Off the Boat. Today, Deadline confirmed that ABC has renewed Fresh Off the Boat for a fourth season.
Based on the memoir by chef Eddie Huang, the sitcom follows a Taiwanese family that moves from DC’s Chinatown to Orlando in Florida to open a Western-themed restaurant. The cast includes Randall Park, Constance Wu, Hudson Yang, Forrest Wheeler, and Ian Chen.
Ratings have waned for Fresh Off the Boat since its debut in 2015. However, the show remains a consistent performer for ABC. So far, season three is averaging a 1.18 rating in the 18-49 demo and 3.960 million viewers. For comparison, season two averaged a 1.33 rating in the 18-49 demo and 4.44 million viewers.
What do you think? Do you watch Fresh Of the Boat? How many seasons do you want?
I love this show it’s refreshing and funny. I like that it’s set in the 90s but I tried to watch The Goldbergs and that one I couldn’t get into. That one’s the 80s I believe.
I freaking love the show it should be renewed
absolutely love Fresh Off The Boat….Jessica reminds me so much of myself… already completed season 3 over a period of 3 weeks
Love the show found it by accident and watched all 3 seasons on computer. Love Grandma
I like the show at first then I did not think the show was anymore
Woohoo. I love this show. Been a faithful watcher since day one. I love the 90s hip hop they use. And the grandma is a hoot.
Great ensemble cast! Constance Wu and Randall Park are outstanding. The shows are well written and directed. I hope they last many more seasons.
Great show! Glad it was renewed. Based on a true story.
Used to watch this show, but stopped halfway through S2. Randall Park and Constance Wu are great. The kids and the premise are not.
Like the show but they’ve gotta stop with youngest using the word “mommy” like it’s the only word he knows!!!!
horrible show they cancel last man standing and renew crap like this and speechless
