As has become the norm, ABC didn’t announce if General Hospital had been renewed for another year but the show wasn’t cancelled either. They just kept it on the air. Will General Hospital survive to see a 58th season for the 2020-21 broadcast season? How will it do in the ratings? Stay tuned.
Debuting on April 1st of 1963, General Hospital revolves around the loves, lives, and deaths of the people of Port Charles, New York. The current season’s cast includes Maurice Benard, Tamara Braun, Steve Burton, William deVry, Chad Duell, Michael Easton, Genie Francis, Max Gail, Nancy Lee Grahn, Briana Nicole Henry, Rebecca Herbst, Roger Howarth, Finola Hughes, William Lipton, Katelyn MacMullen, Sofia Mattsson, Eden McCoy, Kelly Monaco, Wes Ramsey, Emme Rylan, Kirsten Storms, Josh Swickard, Donnell Turner, Maura West, and Laura Wright.

Note: The ratings for the week of January 27th aren’t included because there were major preemptions due to the impeachment trial.
Note: ABC ran out of original episodes with week 35 due to the COVID-19 production shutdown. New episodes resumed with week 46.
For comparisons: The 2018-19 season of General Hospital averaged a 0.53 rating in the 18-49 female demographic with 2.30 million total viewers.

Please keep GH!!!! I have watched since I was 5 yrs old with my grandma and mom. I’m struggling during this pandemic without it but totally understand. I will speak for my mom as well we both look forward to watching it EVERYDAY! We talk about it and try to figure out what will happen.

Pl are do not take this show off the air. It has been part of my life for 52 years and was something my deceased mom and I did together for many, many years. If you take this show off I will have no need to watch any other ABC shows! Good bye ABC – I do t think you realize what a bad decision this is. Absolutely, without hesitation. I want to keep watching General Hospital! I can’t remember a time in my entire life that I didn’t watch it. I used to watch it with my grandma since I was a little girl and have watched it ever since. I’m 49 years old now. Please don’t take it away, I would be devastated!

I want General Hospital to return. I know many that love it but don’t do internet so they can’t say.
Please renew GH, I have been watching since I was 16 years old and I’m now 56. Through the years, if I wasn’t able to watch it at it’s scheduled time, I would catch it on soapnet, or DVR it and more recently I catch it on Hulu. Please bring it back so that we continue to watch it and watch the great actors and actresses. It’s been a long road and when we’d all like to continue

Please renew GH and keep it on the air. I have grown up watching this show. And I want to continue to watch it. I can’t image not being a le to watch it. Even when I’m working I recorder it so I can watch it later. Please keep it on the air. I have been watching this show since I was 4 yrs old and I am 54 now. I would sit in my grama lap and watch GH.
