What’s This TV Show About?
An OWN soap opera crime thriller, The Haves and the Have Nots stars Tika Sumpter, Crystal Fox, Renee Lawless, Tyler Lepley, Aaron, Peter Parros, Angela Robinson, Gavin Houston, John Schneider, Brett Davis, Presilah Nunez, and Nick Sagar. The drama centers on the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family of Savannah, Georgia and their hired help. Season five kicks off with everyone dealing with the fallout of scandal, including some life or death consequences.
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of The Haves and the Have Nots averaged a 0.41 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.90 million viewers. Compared to season four, it’s down by 38% and 25%, respectively. Find how The Haves and the Have Nots stacks up against other OWN TV shows.

Telly’s Take
By the end of season five, The Haves and the Have Nots will have 151 episodes which is more than enough for a syndication package. While the show is still a high-rated series for OWN, the 44 episode order for season five makes me nervous. It’s not uncommon for cable channels to order lots of episodes for a later season so they don’t have to renegotiate contracts before calling it quits. 1/8/19 update: Our contact at OWN tells us that there are 11 episodes remaining in season five (bringing the total to 44 episodes) and that season six will air later in 2019.

I love this show seen from beginning n love the mystery behind it. When the next season start?
I love this show! There is still so much to explore such as is David and Jeffery dead? What will happen with Candice, the president elect, het father, and giving 8 million back. Is Kate and Jim dead? What will happen with Whyat? Whats the outcome with Veronica? I have so many ideas on how to spin this. Please dont do your fans wondering. Congratulations on Tyler Perry on tour upcoming seiores Ruthless and great speach at the BET awards. You are an true hero in the urban community.

Please make this a dream and bring the show back. To have them killed off in such a brutal way, Kathryn having affairs, come on, after hanging with the show for six (6) seis seasons you pull the plug. Get new writers or sumir smithing, explore Tika’s relationship with her father and turning over a new leaf

Why would Tyler Perry even entertain the notion for cancelling out this show? Don’t make sense! Also bring back If loving you is wrong PLEASE! Wow I saw Tyler perry in Miami at the James l knight center years back as a play of MADEA I loved him and every movie after and this show. TYLER PERRY YOU ROCK in the storytelling to madea! I have been binge watching the show on Hulu to catch up for Season 6; I am currently on Season 5 on Hulu! Such an awesome show! Don’t want to read comments as I don’t want to see any spoilers, lol!!! This show is great, all the characters are awesome!!! Especially the witch Veronica!!! I love Candace character as she is also a witch but you can’t help but feel sorry for her at times!!! I just hate the way she treats Hanna! I love the relationship between Hanna and Kate!!!
Yes I am very glad the show ha been renewed. I am very interested in seeing the outcome with Candice and president elect. I hope she makes it to the Whitehorse and the action begins ! Keep up the good work. I hope Hannah and her guy make it. He is truly regretful. Make it happen. Benny is a disappointment. Have him to grow up and be a man!!!!!! Can’t wait til May.

New season beg. May 7 2019 disappointing. Some scenarios don’t make sense: Jeffrey visits Justin, has dinner but never takes jacket off, even helps with dishes 2) Jeffrey’s new hairstyle not becoming at all 3) David just leaves Justin’s without incident, after getting gun pulled on him 4) Justin’s wounds from beating not healing, like really 5) Candace and president elect not real with her going to White House and 7) language of President calling Candace “a hot piece of black ass” ( so corny and just in today’s world racist.
