Home & Family is headed back into production. After its most recent production shutdown in December, the series will start filming new episodes on Monday, March 29th. Those new episodes will land on Hallmark Channel on April 5th. Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison host the series which feature interviews, cooking and household tips, and more for its viewers.
Viewers will notice some big changes when the series returns for the remaining episodes of season nine. Instead of airing five days a week, the Hallmark Channel series will air just three days a week, per Deadline. New episodes will air Monday through Wednesday for one hour only. The series previously aired five days a week, for two hours each.
A spokesperson for Crown Media Entertainment said that “this change tightens the show, allowing us to created more in-depth segments and interviews.”

I really loved watching H&F, i can’t believe its getting cancelled. It was just a happy good feeling show. I hope you change your mind and bring it back….at least maybe during the Christmas time!
I LOVE HOME & FAMILY! I love everything about it. I look forward everyday to watching it and getting great ideas. The show was my perfect pick-me-up! With so much crap that’s on tv it’s nice to watch a good wholesome show. I’m sooooo SAD to see it go.
I totally agree. With all we’ve lost. I don’t see why this should change. If other tv shows are back to normal, why can’t they? So sad
Like I said this show is the BEST..It’s a very Therapeutic show.. There are no shows like it…Why cancel this show that is Good, Wholesome and Uplifting ???..A good way to start the day..

I am so-o-o-o disappointed. I loved the 5 day/week, 2 hour format, and I have missed it since it went off the air. Cameron Mathison and Debbie Matenopoulos are outstanding hosts with their versatility, sensitivity, and humor. I hope the leadership at Hallmark Channel brings the show back at least for 5 days/week, preferably 2 hours. Whatever you do, please do not cancel this show.
i’m VERY sad and diappointed that the hallmark “powers that be” have decided to cancel home and family!! it is a delightful and informative show that i looked forward to starting my mornings out with the whole cast, especially cameron matthison and his endearing personality! i could handle (if i have to) a one hour show, but 5 days a week would be great! what i can’t handle is if you CANCEL Home and Family for good. all of the cast has become like “family” to me.
i’m hoping you change your decision to cancel.
So, so sad that Hallmark has made this terrible decision. There is nothing like ths program on TV. I will miss all the great craft, decorating and cooking ideas. Plus it was great getting to know all the Hallmark stars.
Once again a big corporation thinking only about the dollar and not about the millions of fans.
I agree . Wrong move to cancel the show. Think of the people who love the show. We are not interested in another Hallmark Movie. We are inundated with all the movies. Over and over again. Give us the variety this show provides.
It is the best program on Hallmark.
Please reconsider and have a heart.
Nothing can replace Home and Family.
During the later shows, I had an uncomfortable feeling that the program was not as good as it had been. There were too few diverse segments for my taste. I will watch the new episodes, whatever they are, but I am extremely disappointed to learn that the powers that be changed the format and canceled my favorite show for information and inspiration Apparently, they do not care what their viewers think. Shame on them.
I stopped watching it as it was too long and not the kind of thing I like. I probably will watch the New Version at least for a while to see if I like it or not. If I like it I will continue to watch it. If I don’t, I will stop watching it again. I was so glad when you took it off and started putting movies in its place.

I miss the show 1 hour is better than no hour. I have missed the cooking and arts christmas was so fun. God bless the family show,
I agree with the other comments about the show only being on for 1 hour 3 times a week. In-depth segments? That appears to be an excuse for cutting the show time. How can you get all the cast that were on the show to do in-depth segments in only one hour? Who will be missing?
Will enjoy it being back but sorry it’s only three days a week and cut to only one hour.

why only three days not happy about that ok I can handle the one hour change again not too happy about it but bring back our five days a week, have missed the program very family oriented so you watch with your kids ages such a nice change from other garbage shown
I miss the show, it was my morning wake up time. I hoped you would show reruns while you couldn’t record in person. I’m not sure about the new format….only three days a week? Why?
I love Home and Family and everything it represents. Nowhere else on tv is there a show that offers so much inspiration and creativity. I love that it’s so family oriented. I will definitely miss it. I wish Hallmark would find a way to keep it on.
