What’s This TV Show About?
A satirical telenovela airing on The CW television network, Jane the Virgin stars Gina Rodriguez, Andrea Navedo, Yael Grobglas, Ivonne Coll, Jaime Camil, and Justin Baldoni. Although saving herself for marriage, Jane (Rodriguez) gets pregnant, thanks to accidental artificial insemination, which turns her life upside down. The fourth season picks up three years after the season three finale, with the widowed (and no longer virginal) Jane drawing upon her grief to write a book which recounts her love story with the late Michael (Bret Dier). She and Rafael (Baldoni) are now close friends, but unlike his other kids, their son Mateo (Elias Janssen) is full of mischief. In other news, Petra (Grobglas) and her twin sister Anezka wind up persons of interest in the murder of Scott (Wes Armstrong).
Season Four Ratings
The fourth season of Jane the Virgin averaged a 0.24 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 631,000 viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by 31% and down by 34%, respectively. Learn how Jane the Virgin stacks up against the other CW TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will The CW cancel or renew Jane the Virgin for a fifth season? The ratings are way down (thanks in part to the move to Friday night) but it’s one of the few CW shows to receive any critical attention. In part, because The CW will start programming Sunday nights (and will need 20% more programming than usual), I suspect that Jane the Virgin will be renewed for a fifth season. PLEASE CONTINUE THE SHOW. I started watching this show a long time ago and I can’t believe that I actually just finished. What am I going to do now?! Jane the virgin is the ONLY show I SERIOUSLY LOVE. Jane is a part of me now!! Please don’t stop the show! This show has made me cry so many times.. Of joy and sadness. I wish Jane were a real person because she’d definitely have to be my BFF. Why would you stop this show anyways? It’s SO GOOOOOD. I can talk about the show forever.
Not suprised ratings went down . As much as I love Love love the show and hate hate hated Michael in Season 1, right when we finally fall in love with him not only did they kill him off but we didn’t even get 3 seconds to grieve. The death and time jump really made me mad ♀️
AGREED. They shouldn’t have killed off michael!! Jane didn’t deserve it! And the time we had to grieve for her was short! They were about to get their happily ever after BEFORE THEY KILLED HIM right after his big test! Jeez could they have smacked us (audience) in the face any harder?! The least they could do is not stop the show!
I love this show!!!! Please I beg you do not cancel! Want to see Jane and The hunk RAF together and I mean TOGETHER!!!! That would be so hot!!!! I am just counting down the days for the next episode….. was too long of a wait.
Love, Love, Love this show. Season 5 MUST go to head! I need to see what happens to Jane & Rafael, you cant just stop when the finally kissed again! Jane needs a happily ever after, especially since Michael passed 🙁

Please do NOT cancel Jane the Virgin. It is an amazing show about love hard ache parenting and so much more. I look forward to the show every week. Every time a good show comes on and there’s four or more seasons they end up cancelling it and it’s a very big shame. The show gives me hope sound silly but it’s an amazing show and please keep it running. PLEASE
This TV show has me hooked, and every end of every episode leaves me on the edge of my seat. It plays with your emotions with all of these amazing acters and actresses! The love life of Jane Gloriana Villenueva is spectacularly placed. The two characters, Micheal and Rafael are very well created and the stories behind each of them are very well written. Michael’s tragic death was so hard to watch, from the scene where Michael calapsed on the floor to when Jane fell to her knees , tears running down her cheeks and her screams so heart breaking… Read more »
