As sister station A&E concentrates on “reality” programming, History is increasing its scripted offerings. They’ve already had some success in the ratings with Vikings and Six. Now, they’re introducing another bellicose drama, the Knightfall TV show, from executive producer Jeremy Renner. Will it prove to be a success? Will Knightfall be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
Set in the Middle Ages, Knightfall tells the story of the Knights Templar. The scripted History drama stars Tom Cullen, Pádraic Delaney, Simon Merrells, Olivia Ross, Ed Stoppard, Sabrina Bartlett, Julian Ovenden, Jim Carter, Bobby Schofield, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Sam Hazeldine, and Nasser Memarzia. Years after the Templars lose their last Holy Land stronghold, their dying Master Commander points them to the possible location of the Holy Grail. Whether they’re waging war in the Holy Land or in conflict with the king, they are rushing headlong toward the eventual demise of the Templar Order.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays.
What do you think? Do you like the Knightfall TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season on History?
12/28/17 update: Knightfall has reportedly been renewed for a second season. Details here.
Loved the series from the start. We need more series like Knightfall, there are enough reality shows and crime series out there. Pleaase bring it back for season 2 and a lot more of them.
I really thought this series was great, from start to finish (ep.10) it shows maybe a closer resemblance to what history was than fantasy. Although scripts do bring drama to the screen. Writers did a good job on ep-10, left me hanging wow…will Landry raise his daughter? What did his mother tell the Pope? What of Phillip, the SOB killed Joan. And what of the secret message taken in bottom of the Holy Grail? I hope it renewed and season 2 comes out Dec.2018.
I suffered through Knightfall, all 10 episodes, hoping it would get better. It didn’t. This History Channel offering was subpar. I love Vikings. Knightfall was a huge disappointment.
I loved this show! My husband and I binged watched the first shows, and we’re addicted!!! Please bring it back!!!
Loved season 1. Can’t wait for season 2. I’m sad the queen was killed.
KNIGHTFALL needs greater advertising! I saw on Twitter and decided to watch. Can’t wait for season two. Telling all who missed season one to catch up on the first season! Awesome acting!
I Love it. History brought back to life. I hope they do a second season.
Historical accuracy -zilch. Wooden acting, poor sets, very messy plot. I’m not quite sure why I’m still watching this.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show…I respectfully disagree that the show is slow…it’s necessary sometimes to take a little time to set the scene for spinning a tale of intrique and drama…I love that I can sit down with a bowl of popcorn and settle in for an actual drama, as opposed to other shows filled with sex and violence but no real integrity to the story. That’s what makes this one different, everyone I know who watches it says they love it for the same reason. Can’t wait for season 2!!
Great show so far. Much better than Vikings.
I like the show & love that era, but after a few episodes I felt it was just a little too slow & had to drop it. Too many good shows on Netflix right now await me…The Crown 2, Stranger Things 2, and Travelers 2 awaits me!!
Loving it–just the type of show I’ve been waiting for! Great cast, too!
RENEWED!! What’s not to like? War, bloody battles, sex? Again, what’s not to like?
Love the topic, The Knights Templar, and I’m willing to stick with this one, but I wish it began at the start of the Templars not near their end. I hope it proves to be more true than outright fiction. The characters subplot – fiction – fine, but the overall story I hope is more accurate.
Great Show by far.
