A Netflix historical drama, The Last Kingdom stars Alexander Dreymon, David Dawson, Emily Cox, Tobias Santelmann, Harry McEntire, Joseph Millson, Björn Bengtsson, and Ian Hart. An adaptation of Bernard Cornwell’s novel series, The Saxon Stories, the historical drama follows Uhtred of Bebbanburg (Dreymon), the son of a 9th Century Saxon nobleman. After killing his father, Danish invaders kidnap the boy and he is raised by their warlord, Ragnar. Years later, when Ragnar is killed, Uhtred vows to avenge him and reclaim his birthright. In season three, both King Alfred’s (Dawson) health and his dreams of a united England are fading. Meanwhile, Uhtred must take command and confront a new threat — Danish warlord Sigrid (Bengtsson).

The series of the hero Uthred is the best hero, fabulous acting. Regards is second star.Aethelflaed is most beautiful.
I absolutely loved The Last Kingdom! I was searching netflix and clicked on the show by chance and was completely in love with every episode from start to end. The only episode I was unhappy with is when Ragnar was killed. I was really sad to see him go. But I am very happy about season 4 and cant wait till its released.

This is one of the best written show and best acting i have ever scene. The characters make you feel the emotions they are feelings. In all my years (66)I have never scene a show that grabbed me from the first season and it never stopped. I have watched this series from season 1- season 3 so many times I can’t count. The books are excellent too. I am a total TLK fan and I hope it goes through all the books. Well done.
I think it’s one of the most well written and performed historical series out there. I love the main characters. They are all amazing especially Uhtred. I think it’s better than Game of thrones because of less overacting, nudity,disturbing shock factor scenes that are just inappropriate and more likable characters. I really hope they renew a season 4. We need more quality shows like this series.

The characters are well cast and very believable.The actors make you feel emotionally envolved.I was so sad when Uhtred’s son dies.My favorite epic period series since Game of Thrones.
I get this show confused with Vikings all the time. Season three was released (a year late) and I had forgotten all about Uhtred, Son of Uhtred. I had to re-watch from season 1 to catch up. Over a week I binge watched the entire thing and WOW, this show is fantastic! Without being overly nekked, or overly bloody and gory, they made a well written and epic tale about vikings and the inner battle of one man that tries to serve two heritages.
Here’s hoping for a fourth season because…Destiny is all!
This show is so amazing!! It is so intense! The actors and script make you apart the show by making you feel what they feel and invest in each. PLEASE RENEW!!! It would be a horrible decision not to.
