TV show description:
This action drama series reimagines the movie franchise and follows a cop duo as they work a crime-ridden beat in modern-day Los Angeles.
Grief-stricken after the loss of his young wife and unborn child, ex-Navy SEAL-turned-detective Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford) moves to California to “start over” at the LAPD.
He’s paired up with Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans). He’s just coming back to the job after a near-fatal heart attack. Riggs’ penchant for diving headfirst into the line of fire immediately clashes with Murtaugh’s prudent, by-the-book technique.
When Captain Brooks Avery (Kevin Rahm) assigns them to their first case together, Riggs drags Murtaugh into a high-speed chase culminating inside the Long Beach Grand Prix and a seaport shootout with drug dealers. Despite his protests, the older cop feels more alive than he has in years.
Meanwhile, Riggs gets a glimpse of why Murtaugh is so determined to get home safely at the end of each day — he’s got a wife, Trish (Keesha Sharp), teenagers Roger Junior (Dante Brown) and Riana (Chandler Kinney), and a newborn baby.
Riggs’ life-on-the-edge attitude makes him a priority case for the department’s psychologist, Doctor Maureen “Mo” Cahill (Jordana Brewster).
Rounding out the precinct is Scorsese (Johnathan Fernandez), a pathologist with the LAPD who got his nickname after a stint in film school (which no one will let him forget).
By the time their first investigation ends, Riggs realizes he may have found something worth living for — a partner and friend, Murtaugh. And even Murtaugh figures this arrangement might just work out after all. If only Riggs doesn’t get them killed first.
Episode #55, “The Spy Who Loved Me”
When Cole is investigated by the FBI, Murtaugh is forced to question his loyalty to his own partner. Meanwhile, Cole works a case that puts Natalie’s fiancé, Andrew, into the crosshairs right before their wedding day.
First aired: February 26, 2019
What do you think? Do you like the Lethal Weapon TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on FOX?
This is my favorite show, this show should have at least 10 years left, a lot of others could be cancelled but this is worth sitting down to enjoy.
Love this show!!! Please do not cancel it.
This is my absolute FAVORITE SHOW on TV. It’s one of the GREATS that will live on in syndication and sell a bundle in ad revenue, not to mention the 10 season DVD sets that millions will buy. The CHEMISTRY of the 2 leads along with BRILLIANT DIRECTING and stunt work(!!!) It’s like getting another Lethal Weapon movie Every Week. PLEASE,PLEASE, PLEASE do not try to re-cast the BIGGEST REASON for LW’s success; CLAYNE. He is a GENIUS(!!) at this role — and EVERY GENIUS in history (no matter what the field) has had a history of moods and eccentricities… Read more »
I love this show and Clayne makes it! I will not watch without Clayne!
The only reason to watch Fox.
DO NOT REPLACE RIGGS – HE IS PERFECT. I was a lethal weapon movie fan and didn’t think anyone could play Riggs, but Clayne Crawford is fabulouos! Please give him another chance. I cannot see us watching this show without him!!!!
Please do not change the show. I love it the way it Clayne Crawford is great. Everyone! For your fans please work it out.
Every one I know is so depressed that clayne will not be returning. He is the show. Please reconsider! It wont be the same
I really don’t think they can replace Clayne Crawford if they do the show will not be the same it is him that makes the show and him and Wayans are great together
This show has great story lines and the cast members are awesome! I absolutely love this show and will be sick if it is cancelled. The finale is a cliff hanger and hoping Riggs has not died and will return for Season 3. Please FOX renew this show. Crawford is awesome!! Love Wayons too!! Hope they work out their issues.
This is one of my favorite shows. I love Crawford, he makes the show. I can not see anyone replacing him, it just wouldn’t be the same. A recast would not be good. They are a perfect team. I think the network should rethink their decision. Riggs is perfect for the part. Please give him another chance. If you do not I can honestly say I probably will not watch the show.
Crawford makes the show. His character brings it all together. Really enjoy the show and hope very much it returns intact with current team.
My friends and I will not watch since they killed off Clayne Crawford. I would like it to be renewed only if Clayne will be in it.
I would love to see it renewed, but not without Clayne Crawford. He makes the show. If he’s replaced, it must be by someone with his character traits. Otherwise, the show won’t feel the same at all. I believe Crawford should be given another chance; one more season. If his behavior does not improve, then replace him. “Lethal Weapon” has become one of my favorite shows. I hate to see it this happen.
No Clayne?????????????????? No watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if Clayne Craward leaves show there will be no show with out him love his part is best new show on TV in a long time never miss it a show find away to work it out fan KAY
