TV show description:
This action drama series reimagines the movie franchise and follows a cop duo as they work a crime-ridden beat in modern-day Los Angeles.
Grief-stricken after the loss of his young wife and unborn child, ex-Navy SEAL-turned-detective Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford) moves to California to “start over” at the LAPD.
He’s paired up with Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans). He’s just coming back to the job after a near-fatal heart attack. Riggs’ penchant for diving headfirst into the line of fire immediately clashes with Murtaugh’s prudent, by-the-book technique.
When Captain Brooks Avery (Kevin Rahm) assigns them to their first case together, Riggs drags Murtaugh into a high-speed chase culminating inside the Long Beach Grand Prix and a seaport shootout with drug dealers. Despite his protests, the older cop feels more alive than he has in years.
Meanwhile, Riggs gets a glimpse of why Murtaugh is so determined to get home safely at the end of each day — he’s got a wife, Trish (Keesha Sharp), teenagers Roger Junior (Dante Brown) and Riana (Chandler Kinney), and a newborn baby.
Riggs’ life-on-the-edge attitude makes him a priority case for the department’s psychologist, Doctor Maureen “Mo” Cahill (Jordana Brewster).
Rounding out the precinct is Scorsese (Johnathan Fernandez), a pathologist with the LAPD who got his nickname after a stint in film school (which no one will let him forget).
By the time their first investigation ends, Riggs realizes he may have found something worth living for — a partner and friend, Murtaugh. And even Murtaugh figures this arrangement might just work out after all. If only Riggs doesn’t get them killed first.
Episode #55, “The Spy Who Loved Me”
When Cole is investigated by the FBI, Murtaugh is forced to question his loyalty to his own partner. Meanwhile, Cole works a case that puts Natalie’s fiancé, Andrew, into the crosshairs right before their wedding day.
First aired: February 26, 2019
What do you think? Do you like the Lethal Weapon TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on FOX?
One of the few things I’d watch on regular tv. ……..Funny, action filled, great vibe with main characters. Very upset about Clayne Crawford. Originally watched because of him and continued to watch because of him and Wayans interaction. Loved the movies because of Riggs/ Murtaugh team and the same for the tv version. Without this, no interest.
I do have to say, though, if Clayne has anger issues he needs some help to curb those, not firing!
Wethal Weapon was one of my favorite shows on TV. The Riggs-Murtaugh combination was perfect but now that Clayne Crawford was fired in the role of Riggs, I doubt if I will continue to watch the show. It just won’t be the same.
Riggs/Clayne is why I watch the show. Changing actors is most likely going to get me looking for another show to watch. Good Luck!!
I love Riggs. He is quirky and most of the time a nut case. It would be a tradgedy for this show to end.
Love the show but if no Clayne… NO SHOW!!!
I love Clayne. No Clayne, no show.
I live in kenya and I love the show but without clayne the series is boring,so don’t even think about replacing him with anyone else unless you want lose your audience,RIGGS AND MURTAUGH ARE THE SHOW,you replace any of the characters and the show is as good as dead
Don’t bother to renew the show if Clayne Crawford isn’t in the cast! His character and his performance are what makes this show!
Love the show. My favorite night of television.
Love the show but without Clayne it would not be the same.. Keep him …
Please RENEW WITH THE ORIGINAL CAST… The series will not work unless Riggs is not in it.. This series is true gem.. Do not loose it…
I will not watch with out Clayne they have the chemistry.Everybody deserves a 2nd chance
That new guy won t last long.I have 100 people who said they will not watch..Instead of firing him ,help him
With the replacement of Crawford I will no longer watch the show–I loved both of the main actors together
Love this show!
I live in the UK and watch every episode without fail, I love this show, but with out Clayne Crawford it will not be the same. They seriously need to re-think about replacing him.
Keep clayne or lose your audience!!!
I agree with all the people about removing Clayne. I will not watch any longer without him. I really enjoy the entire cast but it will not be the same without him. I can’t think of anyone that could replace him. I really hope that this decision will be reversed.
