What’s in store for the series finale of Life in Pieces? Recently, creator Justin Adler spoke with TVInsider about the end of the CBS TV show.
The family sitcom, which is currently in its fourth and final season, follows four branches of the Short family tree. Although they’re a big happy clan, that doesn’t mean there are no awkward moments amidst their funny and moving milestones. The cast includes Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Colin Hanks, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt, Dan Bakkedahl, Niall Cunningham, Holly J. Barrett, Giselle Eisenberg, and Hunter King.
In the interview, Adler revealed the upcoming Life in Pieces series finale was “never designed as a series finale.” So what can fans expect from the end of the CBS TV show?
Adler says a job opportunity for Matt (Sadoski) will test his relationship with Colleen (Cabral):
Just as he finally has a family, a dream job threatens to separate him from those he loves most. It felt real to us.”
The series finale of Life in Pieces debuts on CBS tonight, June 27th, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
What do you think? Do you watch Life in Pieces? Would you have watched a fifth season?
I certainly would watch a 5th season and I don’t like that the show is ending. With this family, I believe another couple of seasons will still bring us laughs. With a little bit of help, I could even write a few (or more) episodes. You have very very comical people who live in their own community who could keep us laughing for another decade. Please don’t end this show. No other comedy brings MY family together as this one does.
Please shoot a real ending, this one is very disappointing.
OMG! Cannot believe they are ending this show! I love this show! Please do not let it end!
I am so bummed. This is the best comedy on tv in years, and the actors are great! I laugh out loud. Please consider bringing it back next year!! You are making a serious mistake in cancelling this.
This is our favorite show! So bummed it’s ended. Would love for it to be picked up and continued.
I would love love a 5th season!! The show is so funny and the 30 minute time slot isn’t even enough!! It’s a great cast and so much humor, which is so desperately needed right now!!
Me and my daughter loooove this show!!! We would absolutely and ecstatically watch at least 10 more years of this show!!! They don’t them like this anymore and we were heartbroken when we going out it was cancelled!! Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime please please please pick up this show!! You won’t be disappointed with the results!!
My wife and I loved this show. We definitely would have watched another season or two. Or three.
I would definitely watch another season, or more, if it came back. Really liked this show!
I really like the show. I don’t want it to end.
The last season wasn’t as funny. The finale was a perfect closure. I would watch another season if it was picked up.
I can’t believe it’s ending! This show is sooooo funny, my husband and I look forward to watching this every week!
I really hope another network realizes how wonderful this show is and picks it up. All the great shows get cancelled way too early!
I totally agree. Mistake to cancel this!
I agree I love this show. I hope Netflix picks it up. It always made my day complete at the end of the day. Laughs are healthy.
I watched this show since it premiered and loved every episode. I identify with John and Joan but love all the characters, especially Sophia. I’m crushed about it being canceled and hope another network or Netflix picks it up. I need more!
I agree, I love this show and wanted it to go on and on!
Yes, it is funny. I,love th show.
Why was this fairly popular show cancelled while Hawaii 5-0, which lies right at the bottom of the ratings, was renewed? I don’t get it.
