What’s in store for the series finale of Life in Pieces? Recently, creator Justin Adler spoke with TVInsider about the end of the CBS TV show.
The family sitcom, which is currently in its fourth and final season, follows four branches of the Short family tree. Although they’re a big happy clan, that doesn’t mean there are no awkward moments amidst their funny and moving milestones. The cast includes Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister-Jones, Colin Hanks, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt, Dan Bakkedahl, Niall Cunningham, Holly J. Barrett, Giselle Eisenberg, and Hunter King.
In the interview, Adler revealed the upcoming Life in Pieces series finale was “never designed as a series finale.” So what can fans expect from the end of the CBS TV show?
Adler says a job opportunity for Matt (Sadoski) will test his relationship with Colleen (Cabral):
Just as he finally has a family, a dream job threatens to separate him from those he loves most. It felt real to us.”
The series finale of Life in Pieces debuts on CBS tonight, June 27th, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
What do you think? Do you watch Life in Pieces? Would you have watched a fifth season?
Please please bring back the show! It is so funny! Please please! I love the short family
If they haven’t struck the sets, please give Life in Pieces a reprieve! This show was so good. We never missed an episode. The cast was fantastic. Let them finish the story arc from this season with a Christmas special episode. Thank you.
It should have another season. It is a smart comedy that is relatable.
We love the show!!PLEASE BRING IT BACK
By all means i would want a season 5. What a great show.
Love the show! Yes we would watch!
Love this show! Great cast! Great comedy! I would definitely have watched Season 5. Would love for another network to pick it up!!
I was surprised to find this was the final season I watched from the beginning and always loved it.
Yes, bring back the show and cast
My husband and I looked forward to watching this show each week. I’m so disappointed that it was cancelled. The final episode leaves the viewers hanging. I feel like it’s not finished yet. I was hoping another network would pick it up. It deserves more time.
Wow, another great sit com ending, will definitely miss this one. Maybe with enough complaints they could bring it back? Wishful thinking. Really hate those “reality” shows
I hope they change their decision! It really was an entertaining sitcom!! We saved on DVR and savored each episode. A lot of laughs in this household from great actors and writers
So sad and disappointed. Loved this family. How can they expect shoes to do well when they change the release date and time?!? People don’t watch the way they used to. I had to actively search out when it would return. Then to end it like this. One of the best shows to watch. Keep the crap on but take this off
I love this show. I was shocked to find that it is ending. I love the characters, the writing, and the laugh out loud stories. I wish they would reconsider and keep it going.
I can not believe they canceled this show. One of the funniest shows on tv. Unreal.
