TV show description:
A new take on the family comedy, this series divides each episode into quarters. One quarter focuses on a branch of the Short family before bringing them together for the conclusion.
At the top of the family tree are John (James Brolin) and Joan (Dianne Wiest). Although in their twilight years, the pair are still very much in love and aren’t shy about their active sex life. John, about to turn 70, worries he hasn’t much time left and obsesses with his own funeral plans.
In his early thirties, Matt (Thomas Sadoski) still lives at home. This arrangement is proving awkward for his own romantic affairs with co-worker Colleen (Angelique Cabral). Her ex-fiance and dog are struggling to come to terms with the breakup.
Highly traumatized by the horror of childbirth are first-time parents Greg (Colin Hanks) and Jen (Zoe Lister-Jones). They are also shocked to have been released from the hospital with a newborn baby and no training manual.
Taking their son Tyler (Niall Cunningham) to University, eldest sibling Heather (Betsy Brandt) and her husband Tim (Dan Bakkedahl) are also dealing with change. Reluctantly letting their son fly from the nest, Tyler is packed off with a sandwich and some fatherly advice on losing his virginity. Both are unwelcome.
Episode #79 — Reverse Burden District Germany
When Tim and Heather realize that being grandparents is very far off in the future, they decide to have another baby. Also, Joan gets frustrated when she keeps getting tasked with watching the grandkids; Jen and Greg decide to look for a new house; and Matt gets a job offer in Germany, which is problematic for Colleen and Lucas.
First aired: June 27, 2019.
What do you think? Do you like the Life in Pieces TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?
Please don’t cancel this show. Can’t wait for next season!!!!!!
Please do not let this show get cancelled! My husband and I have watched it from the very beginning, and it is one of the funniest shows on T.V.!! Perfect casting, and keeps us laughing for days! Please Renew!!! Do not cancel! I know so many people who just started watching, (Frankly, it could use more promotion!?) and find it hilarious! Best comedy!
I definitely like the show. It is humorous and edgy. My mom and I have actually laughed out loud at the show; something a lot of so called comedy shows don’t provide… humor. I think it covers all subject matters in life realistically and it’s not distasteful. It’s beneficial for my mom who is 90 and for me her caregiver. Thank you comedic talents, and worthy writers who don’t insult me. Thank you to anyone who helps in the production in the show. Please stop cancelling good shows.
I was hooked from the first episode. This show keeps a smile on my face and makes me laugh on days when, I don’t feel like laughing
Fun and funny!!! Excellent acting and great lines!! Please DO NOT CANCEL!!
This is one of the best shows on TV! So original and fun! Please don’t cancel it!
LOVE this show! There is nothing to match it on the air, for its humor, quirkiness, and warmth! Keep it!!!
This show is great! Every person is a star! It’s the best comedy out there today. Please don’t cancel this show!!
Love this show. KEEP IT!!!
Funniest show on by a long shot. Please keep it on.
Love this show – always funny & memorable- always make me laugh at their antics! One of the best…
The first season was the funniest laugh out loud show my husband and I have seen in a long long time. But, the second season opener was NOT funny. Actually, it bordered on gross. Opening with the sister and brother “parents” of the overdone blonde girlfriend. The second vignette is a “woody” that the young daughter saw and made a comment and so on. NOT FUNNY ANYMORE.We stopped watching and no longer recommend the show. Too bad,so sad.
I really love this show … Much funnier than modern family. The writers are amazing. Do not cancel in any way. It’s by far the funniest comedy show on TV with four stories that are hilarious every week. The actors are really great.
Best new show ever! The writers are terrific and they love Zoe. Great casting for all characters. Thank you or keeping this on the air.
In one word….LMAO!!!
LIFE IN PIECES is freakin’ hysterical. I look forward to this show EVERY week. Although I love Modern Family, LIFE IN PIECES is now my #1 show.
CBS, unless you want to lose out on a huge fan-base, DO NOT CANCEL this show!!!
Love the show. Please don’t cancel it.
