This season, there are several new TV shows that are based on feature films. Historically, most have done poorly in the ratings and have been cancelled after one season. Will Limitless be one of the lucky ones and be renewed for a second season by CBS? Stay tuned.
On Limitless, deadbeat Brian Finch (Jake McDorman) is given the NZT-48 drug and it unlocks 100% of his brain. Brian has complete recall of whatever he’s learned at any point in his life, either consciously or subconsciously. The FBI want to use him to help solve crimes but they’re not the only ones interested in Brian and the drug. The rest of the cast includes Jennifer Carpenter, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Hill Harper, and Colin Salmon.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
10/23 update: CBS has given this series a full season order.
4/27 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated charts, please try reloading the page. You can also see them here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Limitless TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
There’s nothing better than a guy using his new genius capabilities to fight crime! Its awesome!
I think this show is awesome! It captures all my imagination with a guy who becomes genius from a pill and wants to help fight crime. It can’t get any better than that people! It deserves another season for sure!
Stupidest show ever
I have yet to find anyone I know that liked the last episode with the word substitution. In fact if the show continues in this fashion I’ll say goodbye and so will others. You can be comical without being stupid.
I totally agree. I’ve really enjoyed this series up until last week’s episode – where it just got slapstick silly with the clown and the word substitution. It was really juvenile. I would rather this show move more toward the dramatic side – than childish humor. The original movie was dramatic – with a spot of humor – and that’s what made it great. But sadly, the series seems to be moving toward slapstick comedy rather than dramatic – and I won’t continue watching if it continues like this.
Hugging episode comes awful close to complete rejection of this show!
I have been enjoying up to ep. 13. This one is really stupid with the word substitutions. Very juvenile and distracting. If it continues, I’ll stop watching.
couldn’t agree more. Dumb, dumber and dumbest. if i here the word hugging once next week we are done with it!
whats with all the breaks in episodes we get back from winter break and get one episode then break then one episode then 2 week break…. i mean omg thats whats going to kill the show
EXACTLY, if you look at the ratings it has slowly dropped since all the breaks started in December. If you don’t know WHEN to watch the damn show, then how the hell are you going to watch it? It needs to be on steadily every week AND they need to keep from including the comedy too much. Like said above and before, the “Hugger” episode was way too juvenile and may just have turned a lot of viewers away.
I really liked Limitless when the show started – but it has gotten silly and no longer is a show I care to watch. “Hugging” was the last straw – I skipped through the ridiculous dinosaur sequences. If you keep this up you will lose your viewers – too bad because it could be a great show.
Love the show as do all my friends and most of my family., but if there is EVER another episode like “stop me before I hug again”…..we will all boycott the show. Only redemption is if we see a news press headline for lawyer donations being taken for the person who slaps the hell out of the people who wrote and approved the airing of the show. Simply pathetic and horrible writing. Hoping this was just to be sarcastic.
Sorry Guys but I’m out. The “Hugging” ended me. Comedy or Serious serie. Just desappointed.
I really, really like the basic premise of Limitless, BUT my wife and I both agree the writing is getting so goofy and beginning to pull so much vacuum it’s apparent a 12 year old needs to be hired as an upgrade.
Come on guys! It’s on at 10 pm. Make it a show for adults or move it to Saturday morning!
I’ve really enjoyed LIMITLESS up until this episode. Who thought replacing scary words with nice words would improve the quality of the show????? I pretty well gave up on the episode by the second appearance of Brian’s subconscious dinosaur. I kept getting lost with the substitutions: was “hug” stab or strangle? I hope the writers got this dreck out of their systems – I won’t watch another episode like this. I’m disappointed.
I love Limitless! I was crazy over Chuck and this show has a similar vibe! This show has the potential to be as great and run as long or longer. Keep the ideas current and reach farther with the technology! Great job so far!
i love CBS Limitless and i know actor playing FBI Agent Aaron Ayhan
(he has dark hair, eyeglasses, tall-slim, olive skin). He is soo handsome and unique look, with natural talent. Just watch him and you will notice how different, how unique he is!
CBS Limitless Actor Aaron Ayhan has a imdb accout but he has no headshots there:( He also played movies like The Normal Heart, Money Monster, The wolf of the wall street…i want to see his headshots!!!
Great show. Very clever Keep them coming!
