Longmire returned for a fourth season to Netflix, but will fans see season five? They are certainly hoping so. In fact, fans have planned a huge online event for Wednesday that they hope will get the attention of Netflix.
They want season five, and they are willing to bombard Netflix’s social media pages to get it. The online event is being staged by the Longmire Posse. A post on their Facebook revealed the group’s plans for the event.
“Be sure to join the Stampede next Wednesday night! It is so important that we demonstrate to Netflix that we are as engaged as ever! During the hour long Stampede, every share on Facebook of a Longmire Posse post, will go directly to Netflix & Longmire pages, as they will be tagged in every post! If you tweet, be sure to retweet all content with the hashtag on the poster, and @netflix in the tweet – as those too, will be seen by Netflix.”
According to Christian Today, one of the members of the cast, Ally Walker, spoke about the potential for a fifth season of the series, and she thinks the series will return.
“I think there is a possibility that I’m going back, and if you watch it, there’s a really interesting little cliffhanger that you’ll see at the end of this year. So I’m pretty sure I’m going back, and we’ll see what happens.”
Longmire started as a series on A&E, but it was cancelled by the network after season three. Netflix decided to save the series. Will it save it again? Season four premiered on the streaming service on September 10, and fans have been waiting for renewal news ever since.

Definitely! Very few series now on tv that has depth and meaningful content as Longmire. Glad that Netflix got them. Most tv shows nowadays are just garbage.
PLEASE, PLEASE, OH PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL LONGMIRE! I’m already going thru withdrawal after finishing Season 4. I’m a 68 year old Gramma and thought I would never fall in love again. Walker, Texas Ranger, may have been replaced. There are only a few quality shows on, and Longmire is at the top of the list.

I am not on Facebook but I DEFINITELY want a Season 5, 6, 7…. Longmire is the first western series I’ve liked and gotten hooked on. GREAT cast, story lines, scenery, heroes, bad guys. What’s NOT to love? LONG LIVE LONGMIRE!!! Can’t wait for MORE Walt, Henry, Vic, Katie, the Ferg, Ruby, Mathias, Jacob Nighthorse, Malachi. It takes me getting used to the actor playing Malachi being a bad guy after liking him in Dances With Wolves. He plays his part well though.
P L E A S E keep Longmire making episodes! There are no other TV shows equal to this….it has morals, sense of justice, right and wrong, family values. Not everyone in Tv Land enjoys the sleaze that is called television.
They should just renew it indefinitely. Let the cast and crew decide when to stop.
Longmire definitely needs at least a Season 5. It is one of the best shows on, and we really appreciate Netflix bringing it back for Season 4. It is one of the reasons we stream with Netflix!

YES!! The 4th season of LONGMIRE was thebest ever! I watched it in 2 days, not able to wait for each episode to begin, yet not wanting the season to come to an end. Well, the final episode was so good, leaving us to wonder WHO?? It must continue to Season 5, the sooner the better!!

This is THE BEST show – the acting, the story-lines – the Cherokee Indian influence (and learning curve about such) !! PLEASE do a Season 5. I will be so extremely lost without Longmire. PLEASE do a Season 5. I don’t know hoe Netflix calculates ratings, but our household is catching up on Seasons 1-3 before we watch Season 4. And if Netflix is calculating not enough audience for Season 4 yet, that is most likely why. Folks are catching up – either long time viewers, or new viewers. PLEASE continue LONGMIRE !!!

Longmire was the only reason I got Netflix and to do that i had to buy a new blueray player, too! so obviously I want a fifth season!!!!
