Lucifer has been a lead character on a handful of TV series over the years but the shows rarely last more than a season or two. How will Lucifer perform on FOX? Will the ratings be good or very bad? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On the Lucifer TV show, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. Charming, charismatic and devilishly handsome, he’s enjoying his retirement while owning a nightclub. His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. He starts to have feelings of compassion for the first time in billions of years and ends up helping a homicide detective (Lauren German). The rest of the cast includes Lesley-Ann Brandt, Kevin Alejandro, Rachael Harris, D. B. Woodside, and Scarlett Estevez.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
4/7 update: FOX has renewed Lucifer for a second season. Details here.
4/26 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Great sow. Tim Ellis makes it. It is getting better with more back story coming in.
Keep lucifer on. Don’t cancel series. Let’s try it for another season tom Ellis love him. Come on !!!!
Love the actor tom Ellis. He’s adorable and funny cutie
I like the show, but it worries me that the show has gone down so much in viewers (and in the demo) in its first season. From over 7 million to 3.7 million, worse and worse every week.
This is a show my wife and I can enjoy together. It is a fun show. The opening where Lucifer was talking a girl into jumping off of the roof really startled me because I did not want the show to take a very dark turn. I was relieved when she jumped into a pool! Please keep the show on air.
Best new show on tv since Angel, Snellville, and Buffy
Lucifer is a great show. Keep it on the air!
Love the points made, the thought this show provokes, it is fantastic.KEEP!
Love this show. It’s fun and entertaining. I hope they leave a little devilish antics in him. People who are looking at this sow as evil are showing their ignorance. It’s has no evil in it. The Real Housewives of whatever is actually evil in comparison to this show.
Please KEEP this show on for season 2! I live smack in the middle of the Bible Belt and I LOVE the show! It’s the only current show that I make it a point to watch every episode. I think it touches on great issues as much as it can, given the current political climate, and I think that cancelling it is tantamount to censorship. It’s a great show – Definitely renew.
I hope they renew lucifer. It’s a good show and if other people don’t like it they can change the channel. For those complaining about it let’s cancel your shows.
Lucifer is a great show I think it deserves a season 2
How can any of you watch a show that has the king of all evil as the hero? What is so good about it? This show is just evil and violent. Please all of you, watch something different and dump this show. I’m hoping and praying for a cancellation.
What is evil about a show which has redemption as its overarching theme? As for the violence there is very little of it and the violence is far less gory than what you see on NCIS. If you scroll through all the comments and look for the comments which talk about theme you will notice that they mention the same thing. This is a story about redemption. So what is it that we are picking up that you aren’t? The episode “A Priest Walks….Bar” makes it very clear that redemption is the theme. In addition this series also addresses other… Read more »
Hoping and praying? Didn’t you promise all of us that you, personally, would get this show cancelled? Too bad, so sad, for you, it was renewed. Fantastic for the rest of us!
With each new episode, I’m becoming more and more disappointed. The writing is weak and Lucifer’s constant snarkiness is already getting old. But the worst part is that it’s turning into just another cop show. Not only does having Lucifer lose his immortality not make sense but having him lose his “devil-ness” turns him into just another obnoxious egotist. What should make this show stand out is the lead character being the Devil. The small glimpses of this in the earlier episodes was exciting, unique and very well done. Ellis is awesome and carries the devil-angry scenes with such believability… Read more »
It is because the show is nothing like the comics it was supposed to be based off of. In the Sandman comics, Lucifer had Adventures across the world and was pretty darn powerful. The fact that they have the audacity to call the show Lucifer is mind-boggling. It is nothing more than a run-of-the-mill procedural cop drama with a sprinkling of Supernatural but not enough to make it different from anything else. Every episode of watch I get more and more disappointed that they’re moving farther and farther away from the whole point of the comics. It would be like… Read more »
What evil is talking about canceling Lucifer??
