TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
I watch this show faithfully and do not want to see it cancelled. Yes I’m from Canada
I am a Canadian and am delighted that Lucifer will be back on CTV in September.
DEFINILY RENEW A VERY HEAVENLY SHOW
I love this show it is great please don’t cancel this show!!!!
It’s too bad that Canadian viewers aren’t counted in the Fox ratings because it is one of the most watched shows here in Canada. It’s in the top 5. Glad that CTV is bringing back Lucifer for season 2.
Tom Ellis tweeted that Tricia Helfer will be playing Mum. Excellent choice. She was great in Battlestar Galactica.
Keep Lucifer going, it’s great
This is such a fun and wonderful show. Chosen cast members play their parts
perfectly. Very entertaining plus ‘Lucifer’ is really sooooo….wellllll…..you know!
Writers have done an amazing job leaving viewers with lots of thoughts to ponder at the end of each episode. AND so anxious to find out WHO ‘mom’ is and her story. Really looking forward to seeing Season 2. Thank you for NOT cancelling!!! Great job and lots of kudos to FOX!!!!
Wonderful show; brilliant, funny, with a sage wisdom. Entertaining with a valuable message.
Season 2 of Lucifer will be on air starting this September. If Season 2 is just as engaging as Season 1 Lucifer could be on the air for years. This series works on so many levels. I wonder who will be playing Mum but in my opinion it should be an actress not noted for playing villains. (I hope it’s not Debra Winger).
Lucifer should not be canceled! I have to find out who their mom is. It’s an amazing show that I got hooked on in the first 10 secs of it. I’m not even kidding. I loved the intro and I loved the rest of it. It has to continue!!! Please don’t cancel it!
Love it. Looking forward to many more shows as are a lot of others including my daughter in the U.K. Anne.Ann
Really enjoy this show a lot. Fun, sassy, easy on the eyes, not too stupid/not too smart/just right! And great for a Monday nite since regular tv is so bad on this nite and now that Castle has been cancelled…what??
I think this show is brilliant. Reminds me of Miltons Paradise Lost where the devil is so appealing and interesting that he steals the show in many ways.I really enjoyed the episode where Milton is talking to the priest about DAD . Got almost theological. I think it is a really great show funny ,bright ,sexy for sure , can be viewed on many levels ,please keep up the intelligent dialogue along with the monsterously appealing Lucifer and his truly awesome ladies.
Lucifer’s character is modelled after Milton’s interpretaion in “Paradise Lost”
Love, love, love Lucifer!!! All the good shows get canceled please do not cancel this one!!!!
Please don’t cancel Lucifer. Love it and probably is my favourite show.
