TV show description:
This horror black comedy series is based on the characters created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It’s the story of the original fallen angel — Lucifer.
Bored and unhappy as the Lord of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) has abandoned his throne and retired to Los Angeles. There, he owns an upscale nightclub named Lux. Charming, charismatic, and devilishly handsome, Lucifer is enjoying his retirement, indulging in a few of his favorite things — wine, women, and song.
His bliss is disturbed when a beautiful pop star is brutally murdered outside of his club. For the first time in roughly 10 billion years, he feels something awaken deep within him as a result of this murder. Could it be (perish the thought) compassion or sympathy?
These thoughts disturb both Lucifer and his best friend and confidante, Mazikeen aka Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt). Maze is a fierce demon who’s taken the form of a beautiful young woman.
The murder outside the club attracts the attention of LAPD homicide detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). She’s initially dismissive of Lucifer but she soon becomes intrigued by his talent for drawing out people’s secrets. Chloe also likes his desire to dispense justice, doling out punishment to those who deserve it.
As they work together to solve the pop star’s murder, Lucifer is struck by Chloe’s inherent goodness. Accustomed to dealing with the absolute worst of humanity, Lucifer is intrigued by Chloe’s apparent purity and begins to wonder if there’s hope for his own soul yet.
At the same time, God’s emissary, an angel named Amenadiel (DB Woodside), has been sent to Los Angeles to convince Lucifer to return to the underworld.
Can the Devil incarnate be tempted toward the side of Good — or will his original calling pull him back toward Evil?
Episode #93 — Partners ‘Til the End
Desperate to rescue Rory, Lucifer and Chloe confront her kidnapper with guns and wings blazing. Lucifer finally comes to terms with his purpose.
First aired: September 10, 2021.
What do you think? Do you like the Lucifer TV show? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
This is a good show among so much crap with all the alternate life styles so over represented. Sure – odd concept I thought would be terrible but I now (did) look forward to the show – humor, keeps you entertained, not all doom and gloom, or political snarking, or constant coniving, or terrible shows like the Rosanne re-make crap and THAT gets extended. Bummed yet again on the good shows cancelled and sh*t that gets renewed. Guess this gets added Timeless, Forever, Kevin Probably saves the world, and many other short-lived shows. How can we have so many channels… Read more »
I can’t believe that this is the show they’re axing. I love watching Lucifer. What’s next? Gotham? They’re the only two shows that brought me to the Fox network. Fox, please have a change of heart at least for one more season.
I enjoyed Lucifer very much thought it was interesting only show I watched on Mondays sorry to see it go
I really liked this show. I am disappointed that it is cancelled. I have watched all episodes. I think there are too many loose ends that need to be tied up before you cancel. Next season would be the end. Don’t get us hyped up for next season and then cancel. What is the deal with that?
Renewed for another season. The potential story possibilities are far from drying up.
This was the only show I watched on Mondays. Who’s brilliant ideas was it to leave us all hanging in the last episode? Won’t someone please pick this show up and renew it?
This is the only show I watched on Monday. Can’t someone else please pick it up? Whose brilliant idea was it to make that the final episode? It just left us all hanging.
I loved the show. Creative, unique and original. It is a shame that it was cancelled.
What is wrong with you people who decide to take off a great show that makes me laugh and cry at the same time? Wonderful storyline and acting. Takes me away from all the garbage going on in our world right now. Please reconsider your decision. Don’t make the same mistake as ABC did with Tim Allen’s show now moving to Fox because it is one of the best on TV.
Tony Freda I hope the producers reconsider if only to see that Chloe accepts who Lucifer really is. This show was unique in that the casting for each character was as perfect as one could hope. It would be a shame not to see at least one more season
I loved this show…..Hell of alot better that the other crap you show…I think it is the only show o Fox that I watch….
I strongly urge them to reconsider this cancellation. I watch many shows, but Lucifer is my #1 go to show since it started. The casting, character deveelopment, special effects, and plot developement are superb.
It is the ONLY show that I make a point to watch on Monday night . Who the heck makes these decission’s …..executives ?
I hope the network reconsiders their decision. Lucifer is one of a rare few television shows that is unique. I am tired of the same tired story lines and the problem/illness of the week that is the standard fare. Lucifer is the ONLY show I make a point of watching every week.
I absolutely loved this show, cannot believe it was cancelled! Lucifer is so self absorbed but even the worse entity in the world has a soft spot and a sense of morality..leaving a little hope for the rest of humanity. Maybe someone else, another network can see the beauty in offering “hope” for humanity…Would be great if they would pick this show up!
