Back in 2004, ABC hit the ratings jackpot with their Lost TV show, a series about the passengers of an ill-fated airline flight and their mysterious survival. Now, NBC is trying their own airline mystery series called Manifest. Will it be a hit for the peacock network and be renewed for a second season? Or, will it be cancelled, like so many other mystery dramas? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
An NBC drama series, Manifest stars Melissa Roxburgh, Josh Dallas, Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez, Luna Blaise, Jack Messina, and Parveen Kaur. After a family vacation in Jamaica, the Stone family is returning to New York when they are separated by the airline. Adult siblings Michaela (Roxburgh) and Ben (Dallas), along with Ben’s gravely ill son Cal (Messina), are bumped to a later flight. Ben’s wife Grace (Karkanis), daughter Olive (Blaise), and parents fly ahead. The later flight — Montego Air Flight 828 — hits some turbulence but ultimately lands safely. The flight crew and passengers are shocked to learn that five and a half years have passed for the rest of the world. They attempt to reconnect with their loved ones while trying to make sense of their mysterious “second chance”.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. 5/15/19 update: NBC has renewed their Manifest TV show for a second season.
I loved the first few episodes, but then the show lost me, and I now I don’t even watch. the plot seemed to get away from the plane flight and lately its turned into a werewolf sci fi movie.
I love the show. Please renew for a season 2.
Please cancel this show. It represents the zenith of mediocrity in TV – everything about it is hardcore mediocre.
Love Manifest, first series that has kept me wanting more since SOA. Waiting for season 2. If you haven’t watched it, take time to.
Yes, I can’t for it to return. The cast is great and the storyline is very interesting. Much better than LOST..the storyline of LOST jumped around too much!
It’s a very good show to watch now they are going to put some other show on and when they do NBC is going to lose a lot of ratings
Absolutely keep it going. I see the writers getting in their grove more for each episode. Working out the kinks in the first series which even LOST did too… I look forward to watching every week.

Looks like a season 2 is destined. Ratings are doing better and the show is really going upwards. The first few episodes after the mid-season finale sucked pretty badly but they’re getting much better now. Acting is impeccable. I think they can take this show to new peaks with a season 2. At least a 10-12 episode wrap up.

It is extremely interesting. I want to see where it will go, but hopefully the writers have a good idea and will stay true.

Please renew, this is an amazing show that we have not had since LOST was ended sometime back. It has great actors, wonderful scenery, amazing storyline and over the top mystery and syfy. PLEASE RENEW. But for 20 episodes at least.
Overall, Lost was a show that lost its way. It meandered and lost focus to the point it became meaningless. Unless the writers have a definite ending, this show will do the same thing. Are you willing to wait six seasons for the reason the plane disappeared because that’s the writer’s plan.
As long as they don’t stray too far from the whole new reason why they think this is happening I think it could stay on track. I think they should wrap it up in season 2 though. 10-15 episodes to do a wrap up would be good.
This show is a fantastic show – it should get picked up for season 2 for sure!!!
