What’s This TV Show About?
A Lifetime black comedy-drama, Mary Kills People stars Caroline Dhavernas, Jay Ryan, and Richard Short. The second installment of the series (which airs on Global in Canada) features guest stars Rachelle Lefevre and Ian Lake. The story centers on Dr. Mary Harris (Dhavernas). This physician and single mother also operates a mercy-killing business on the side. Season two kicks off eight months after Mary and Des (Short) framed Grady (Greg Bryk) for their patients’ deaths. After his release from prison, Des is happy to re-team with Mary, but she wonders if she was better off without him. Meanwhile, the mysterious Olivia Bloom (Lefevre), presents them with a deadly request that could change everything.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Mary Kills People averaged a 0.07 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 299,000 viewers. Compared to season one, it was down by 58% and 53%, respectively. Find out how Mary Kills People stacks up against other Lifetime TV shows.

This is the most unique show on television and it’s already been renewed for Canada TV for Season 3! Come on Lifetime it deserves one more season too much business to still be taken care of! Love the show great acting
Well, don’t really watch TV series that much, but yeah, watched both seasons in the last 24 hrs…..DONT LEAVE ME HANGING LIKE THAT…..lol Bring on another (if not more) season PLEASE !!!
Great Series! I truly hope this is renewed for more than one final season.
I’m not huge on television but agree with many of the other reviewers here about the importance of this topic. I’m in the US and really hope we get to see a third season down here as well. I just really don’t understand why the “seasons” are only 6 episodes, why they take so long to put out… or why this is even on the Lifetime network, it’s a strange place for it.
From the First Episode, I wanted more!
So different from the same old plots.
It also gives it’s audience “food for thought ”

One of my favorite shows I really hope they bring it back so many of my favorite child’s have already been cancelled this year it would be a shame
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW!! My husband and I are not “tv series” watchers, but we are now!!! The writing for Mary Kills People is INCREDIBLE and certainly makes a clear statement of just how “gray” the act of choosing when the quality of your life is no longer able to be equated with the quantity of your life (the number of days you have left). Is Mary kills people coming back for season 3? Oh boy I so hope so. Love that show I know I just said that but I’m just curious if anyone knows when?
It hasn’t been renewed yet. But if it is renewed, if they follow the release pattern they’ve followed thus far, season 3 won’t be out until late winter/spring of 2019. Season 2 just finished a few months back so I don’t think we’ll be seeing any renewal news for a few months.
