Miracle Workers wraps its first season tonight, March 26th, but will there be a second season? Recently, creator Simon Rich spoke with The Wrap about the future of the TBS TV show.
The comedy series centers on Craig (Daniel Radcliffe), a low-level tasked with managing of humanity’s prayers. Since God (Steve Buscemi) would rather spend his times on hobbies and new projects, Craig works with another angel, Eliza (Geraldine Viswanathan), to stave off Earth’s destruction by trying to answer a nearly unanswerable prayer — to help two humans fall in love.
If TBS renews Miracle Workers for a second season, Rich says he plans on making the show an anthology with a new story and new characters each season:
It’ll always be a comedy about existential doom. It’ll always be absurdist. They’re all meant to be stand alone narratives. That’s the other thing that’s cool about this project for me, is that you get to tell stories with a beginning, middle and an end.”
The season one finale of Miracle Workers debuts on TBS tonight, March 26th, 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.
What do you think? Have you seen Miracle Workers? Do you want a second season?
I thought it was humorous & deserves a 2nd season
Yes. I would like to see another season of ‘Miracle Workers’. It’s fun to see the interaction between characters and see how well they come together to solve seemingly impossible tasks.
More Miracle Workers please. I liked the different perspective and the actors were special.
