The Missing is currently airing its second season on BBC One on UK television screens. The final episode of the season will air on Wednesday night. The season will air on Starz at a later date. Is a third season of the series likely?

There is no official word yet, but one of the men behind the series, Harry Williams, spoke about the possibility of another season of the drama. He said the following, according to Radio Times:

“I think with the second one, we definitely didn’t want to do it in a cynical way. It was only when we had that story to tell: we’d done a story about losing someone; now we’re going to do a story about finding someone. It would have to be very different, it would have to not be cynical, and it would have to be saying something new. Never say never.”
