TV show description:
Based on the critically-acclaimed memoir Mozart in the Jungle: Sex, Drugs & Classical Music by Blair Tindall, this dramedy series takes a look at what happens behind the curtains at the New York Symphony. It turns out that backstage is just as captivating as what happens on stage. Artistic dedication and creativity collide with mind games, politicking and survival instincts.
A young oboist named Hailey (Lola Kirke) tries to navigate through the egos and eccentricities of a world renowned orchestra, hoping for her big chance. Meanwhile brash new conductor Rodrigo (Gael Garcia Bernal), an enfant terrible, has a passion for music that threatens the plans of the orchestra’s old guard.
That old guard is represented by Thomas (Malcolm McDowell), the reluctantly outgoing conductor, and Gloria (Bernadette Peters), the chairwoman of the board. They wonder what they have wrought by bringing Rodrigo into the fold.
The musicians themselves, a colorful family of disparate personalities, are struggling to deal with this new regime as well. Along with her friends Alex (Peter Vack), a dancer on the brink of success; worldly cellist Cynthia (Saffron Burrows); and world-class partier Lizzie (Hannah Dunne), Hailey searches for what it means to dedicate your life to music.
Episode #40: “Dance”
The premiere Hesby’s new piece doesn’t go exactly as planned. Hailey recommits herself to the music. Cynthia finds solace in her new endeavors. Rodrigo must make a choice about his role in the orchestra. (Courtesy of Amazon)

What do you think? Do you like the Mozart in the Jungle TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?
I want Amazon to bring this back. I need to see more of what happens to this love story! Please end it right not just left …..
I just finished watching Mozart In The Jungle and loved it. I was so disappointed to hear there won’t be a season 5. I feel as if I read a large novel and someone tore the last two chapters from the book. While I understand financial decisions I also believe Amazon has a creative obligation to their fans. They could have made season 5 the series finale and wrapped it. Why would I watch another series on Amazon? Will they cut the next story short too? It was an award winning series, however, maybe not a blockbuster. There’s still a… Read more »

Love season 4…need more
Love Love Love this series–The most interesting thread to me is the Rodrigo/HyLie story. Please let them get to the “one day” love that Rodrigo’s grandmother predicted in the coffee grounds. Something wholehearted. Hope that is not too much to ask given Blair’s account of things.
More! Beautiful music great cast Do not cancel
I love how the plot turns and you never know what it comig next, and the little moments right before the end of one show where you know that person has an idea. Makes you want to see the next to see what idea they come up with to solve the problem from the last show
Just binge watched both seasons. I’m amused and endeared. More please!
Binged season one again and followed with a binge of season two. Can’t get enough. Love it! More, please, sir.
