For the first time, CBS has scheduled NCIS: Los Angeles on Monday nights — without strong lead-in NCIS and opposite The Blacklist and Castle. The show’s ratings declined last season. Will they fall further or miraculously start to grow? Cancelled or renewed for a seventh season? Stay tuned.
Based in the City of Angels, NCIS: Los Angeles follows the members of an elite division of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), one that specializes in undercover assignments. This drama stars Chris O’Donnell, LL Cool J, Linda Hunt, Daniela Ruah, Eric Christian Olsen, Barrett Foa, Renée Felice Smith, and Miguel Ferrer.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/12 update: CBS has renewed NCIS: Los Angeles for a seventh season.
Final season averages: 1.60 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.28 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
For comparisons: The fifth season of NCIS: Los Angeles averaged a 2.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 14.84 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the NCIS: Los Angeles TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a seventh season?
I want to keep NCIS LA. I do not like NCIS New Orleans The original schedule worked , why not keep it.
I want to keep NCIS LA. I do not like NCIS New Orleans. Why screw with a schedule that worked.
CBS is not supporting this show. Moving it against Monday Night Football is suicide!!!! With Bishop not fitting the chemistry of NCIS, this is the best of the three shows. But it seems CBS is putting all on NCIS and NCIS New Orleans.
Could it be because of the clash between Harmin and the original producers of NCIS?
Hi I love Ncic la I hope it is not cancelled
NCIS LA IS THE BEST SHOW IN THE WORLD I LOVE IT SOOOOOOO MUCH IT IS AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!
IT MUST BE RENEWED FOR SEASON 7
IT HAS TO BE RENEWED FOR SEASON 7
I LOVE THIS SHOW TOO MUCH
AND THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE DENSI
CBS put NCIS LA in the Mon 10 pm death slot because they don’t care about the ratings, they are cranking out episodes for syndication until contract renewal time when the show will be canceled. Which I think is after next season.
Couldn’t handle the other 2 quality shows I presume ( Castle & The Blacklist ) . These two shows are also at 10 pm slot and they’re doing just fine. Don’t worry though, the Blacklist will move in November for to Thursday 9 pm for new show ” State of Affairs ” . In the mean time, this is the test of quality produce, well written of TV shows and people will watch whatever they think it’s the best instead because nothing good is on. Time will tell !
NBC and ABC at 10 have been killing CBS at that time for several years now. CBS sees it as a death slot now that several shows have gone there to die. It will be interesting to see how LA performs when SoA premieres and Blacklist moves. Just for info, I don’t care if NCIS LA is canceled or goes on for another ten years. just making comments about how it is getting killed in its new time slot away from the original NCIS and how Mon at 10pm is still a death slot for CBS unless thy can come… Read more »
Oh god the ratings are going down. I hate CBS -.-
Are you keying me and wife watch that we had to cancel one of our show because you guess wants to chance the the days on it so please don’t cancel CSI Los Angeles just change to the original dau that started. Thanks
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE NCIS Los Angeles This is my favorite all time show. I have watched every episodes from day one. NOW Dang it…CBS has messed up – I was really upset I mean pi$$ed when CBS changed the day and time to Monday night. Monday night has Castle and other shows at the same time up against NCIS Los Angeles and that is not fair. They should have put that New Orleans show on Monday night and left my show (NCIS Los Angeles) where it was and has always been on Tuesday nights at 8:00 P.M. Central time… Read more »
I totally agree you dear friend, but don’t worry,NCIS LA is as great as to be survived even when they chenged it’s time and night, that show will be with us for more and more seasons
I love NCIS Los Angeles and I hope that it does well at its new time. I’m very disappointed that CBS moved it as it did very well after NCIS. A smart thing for CBS to do would be to have all 3 NCiS shows on the same night. I will watch NCIS Los Angeles every monday.
I agree. I will be watching too.
While I tolerate NCIS (the original) because my spouse wants to watch it, neither of us could ever tolerate NCIS LA. So it is not surprising it is floundering without the NCIS lead in.
NCIS Los Angeles has a great cast and writers.
It would be a disservice to
the show and viewers if it
were to get cancelled. The
viewers are in the 9 million
marker with a 1.9 in demo
I am over 50 and love all the NCIS family. Great entertainment. NCIS LA
still has a wonderful following.
Thats what happens when cbs puts it on the same night as wwe wrestlinv
follks lets keep this show ncis la GOING! i really like the show
Argh this is going to get cancelled bc of the sh… that CBS did. CBS should put NCIS: LA on their old schedule
