Like last year, the NCIS: New Orleans TV show won’t have the security of airing directly after the original NCIS, which remains the most watched scripted series on CBS. Unsurprisingly, the spin-off did shed some viewers in its new timeslot. But, although NCIS: New Orleans ran about middle of the pack in terms of its demo ratings, it still managed to be a top-five show where total audience is concerned. Since this fourth season will give it a decent sized syndication package, it is time to wonder how much longer it will remain on the air. Will NCIS: New Orleans be cancelled or renewed for season five? Stay tuned.
A military action procedural, NCIS: New Orleans stars Scott Bakula, CCH Pounder, Daryl Chill Mitchell, Lucas Black, Rob Kerkovich, Shalita Grant, and Vanessa Ferlito. The CBS drama centers on Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Bakula) and his team at the local field office in New Orleans. Together, they investigate criminal cases involving military personnel.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/16/18 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The third season of NCIS: New Orleans averaged a 1.18 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 9.574 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the NCIS: New Orleans TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a fifth season on CBS?
4/18/18 update: CBS has renewed NCIS: New Orleans for a fifth season. Details here.
I would like to see a season 5 of NCIS New Orleans.
Love NCIS New Orleans!!!!! Please don’t cancel the show!! It’s my favorite show on TV!! I’m from New Orleans and love seeing the City since I live out of town.
Please leave ncis new Orleans on TV its one of my favorite shows
Please leave ncis new Orleans on its one of my favorite shows
We love NCIS:New Orleans! Please keep the show on!
This was a good show until Vanessa Ferlito(Gregorio) came on board. She ruined it.
We enjoy this show very very much. We do not like the short Spanish actress. She is too abrupt and bossy, does not respect other actors. The other woman with The big lips actress grew on us. It is a great show. We hope it will not be canceled. Change the woman actor and I am sure you will see an increase in the popularity. LdI
The very BEST of the NCIS series! Although we do always enjoy Abby on the original NCIS. We do NOT like the new ‘boss’ of the NCIS LA, please bring Hetty back. If so, we will return to being fans.
Love this show!!!!!!
I love this show its my favorite to watch !
Please don’t cancel it i want season 5 ease
I’ve given up on this series, as apparently others are, it has become a broken record of Pride going off the rails, usually in the first 15 minutes of the show.
If Pride doesn’t end up in prison for breaking numerous federal laws or in an asylum for his profound narcissism, this law and order show will be a farce. I’m not waiting around to see.
It certainly doesn’t honor the real NCIS with its outlaw behavior.
NCIS New Orleans is the best one out of all but Sebastian does not fit the part to be a field agent he should go back to working with Loretta
best NCIS better than original and NCIS LA, keep this show for a long time the only i dont like is sebastian in the field it doesnt fit his charecter
i enjoy the show its so much better than NCIS LA the only thing that i dint like is sebastian in the field that doesnt fit his charecter he meeds to go back to the lab, its just like they tried in NCIS LA putting Nel in the field it didn’t fit her character and the plus is she is back where she belongs (headquarters working on getting intell of computer)
Except Kevin, they do still put Nell in the field, maybe not on a regular basis, but she does still have her chances. It is too bad you don’t like when it happens. I personally think it is terrific, but again that is just my viewpoint on the subject.
Like the show but will no longer watch due to female kissing on screen.
thats the type of world we live in now, and that shows you are judgemental i am straight and i could care less i will never judge
Kevin, everyone has a right to feel the way they do. Just because somebody is turned off by watching two females or males kiss each other, it doesn’t mean they’re evil or hateful or anything of the sort. You can get off your high horse of morality.
I would like to season 5 & more season after that of the show. Pride way of doing things some times u have to think out side of the box to solve a case or get to the truth. I am from New Oreleans it a good show I rather watch show like this anytime beside how Washington and La all up tight New Oreleans solve cases get job done still enjoy ur life after work Pride way is more relaxing if ur not from south may not under stand his method keep the show going with pride team
