Last year, Outlander was a big success for Starz (compared to the ratings of their other series). Will this TV show continue to do well or, will viewer interest subside? Cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
On Outlander, Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe), a married combat nurse from 1945, finds herself mysteriously thrown back in time to 1743 Scotland. She’s forced to marry another man (Sam Heughan) to save her life and a passionate affair is ignited. The rest of the cast includes Tobias Menzies, Graham McTavish, Gary Lewis, Duncan Lacroix, Stephen Walters, Grant O’Rourke, Claire Sermonne, Rosie Day, Stanley Weber, Andrew Gower, and Lionel Lingelser.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The first season of Outlander averaged a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.04 million viewers.
What do you think? Do you like the Outlander TV show? Should the show be cancelled or renewed for a third season?
Best show ever!!! We love it so much!!! Please come back to us Claire!!!!
This show is THE BEST THING ON TV…IT MUST NOT BE CANCELED!!!
The shippers in this fandom were attacked and harassed by a third party, who shall remain nameless, in early June. You can be baited, screencapped if you respond to bait/attacks and reported to Outlander Watchtower, with blacklisting or account suspension to follow. Multiple phone calls to Starz have produced zero results. Make lead continues public interaction with person who ostracized shippers. Instead of providing free PR (voting, tweeting, recruiting, etc) I am voting with remote. I would cancel Starz altogether but it’s part of package deal and will add $30/month to bill to keep other channels. Might yet reach that point.… Read more »
Good news….It’s official….Starz has renewed Seasons 3 AND 4!!!
The extreme drop in ratings reflects Ron Moore’s decision to ignore and neglect the Jamie and Claire love story that is the core of the books. I wonder if STARZ regrets the recent renewal.
Please, please – Season 3!
Already renewed for Seasons 3 and 4.
I couldn’t afford both HBO and Starz. Starz has Outlander so it won out. And American Gods will be coming soon. Thanks Starz. Fantastic show
Love the series. We want a Season 3!
I am not in favor of a,season 3. For an adaptation, there is way to much that strays from the book, don’t recognize the story or characters anymore. Has not stayed faithful to the story line. I canceled my Starz
If you have cancelled your subscription and don’t watch anymore, then why do you care if they have a third season? If you didn’t like it fine, but many people like the show and don’t mind the changes, why be in favor of denying us the show?
Your loss. THe best of Season 2 is yet to come. And episode 207 was pretty awesome.
But, you are going to miss it.
What are they waiting for? Renew Outlander for Season 3! My husband and I watch the show together and we have, as a by-product, discovered Starz.

I think it is a great show. I love the actors. I certainly hope it is renewed. I am currently reading book 6 of the series. Love the books, some more than others but love them. The first was my favorite!! Love Jamie!!!!
Read all of the books. Love the series. Please renew next season!!
I continue to enjoy outlander series and I think season 2 has been fantastic. I didn’t know to about the books till after I watched season 1. I enjoyed it so much I had to buy all the books and have thoroughly enjoyed reading them. I think the TV show team is doing a good job adapting the books while keeping the essence of the story while the small changes keep the story fresh. I loved the show so much that I have bought a season pass just for the show with Amazon prime. Hope to see season 3,4, 5… Read more »
My main reason for watching was that I wanted to see the epic Jamie and Claire romance from the books. When the show failed to deliver that I stopped watching and cancelled STARZ. I don’t care for the things the showrunner has decided to focus on and the way he has diminished Jamie’s character. They should have stuck to the books as they promised to do in the beginning.
Why are you still following the series info then? The best of Season 2 is yet to come and you are going to miss it.
