It looks like Penn Zero is retiring. It’s been announced that the Disney XD series Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero has been cancelled after two seasons.
Created by Sam Levine and Jared Bush, the animated series follows Penn Zero, a young boy who takes up his parents’ job as a part-time superhero. The voice cast includes Thomas Middleditch, Adam DeVine, Alfred Molina, Tania Gunadi, and Larry Wilmore.
Levine revealed the cancellation news on his Tumblr, saying new episodes will still air through 2017:
I’m making this announcement to let you know that the second season of Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero will be the final season of the series.
We are finishing up the story we began telling in 2014. New episodes will air through 2017, leading up to our series finale. I’m really excited for you all to see our big, bombastic, super funny, visually purty, exponentially musical, big-time exciting and emotionally everything season 2.”
He also thanked the fans for their devotion to the show:
The most exciting part of making this show has been to see it resonate with an audience. To know you dig what we put into the universe is honestly the biggest gift. We made this stuff for you. And you’re inspired and make your own stuff because of what we did. And that truly inspires me. Thank you all.”

It was getting intersting I’ve been waiting for penn and sashi to happen for a while now and I’m glad it did but they didn’t actually get together plus they said pause 2 I really hope you make a new season it made me think of possibilities I never thought of before and imagine things I never imagined please don’t end penn zero part time hero
Why end it! It’s the best show ever and thing just got interesting with Penn and Sashi. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only disappointed fan

Pen zero was my fav. Show on tv and I looked forward to watching it and I am very sad that it is over I just wish it continued with pen and sashi “dating” and I will always honed that show

Im kinda mad that their ending Penn Zero. When I was younger my grandfather payed extra to get the Disney channel because what they showed was descent now im almost 15 and my sister who is 13 is watching the Nick Jr show Paw Patrol and she will not stop watching it because its the only descent thing on so Disney if they keep cancelling descent shows like Pen Zero they will have to start hoping that their movies and parks can keep them aloft because they keep cancelling good shows I want to see the Pen Zero timeline continue… Read more »
pretty good show it brought all the fantasies of a kid and mash them together create something great
