TV show description:
A crime drama series with a twist, the Prodigal Son TV series has a darkly comedic tone. On the show, Malcolm Bright (Payne) is an extraordinary criminal psychologist who knows how killers think and how their minds work. Back in the 1990s, his father, Dr. Martin Whitly (Sheen), was one of the worst — a notorious serial killer called “The Surgeon” who killed at least 23 people.
Since murder is “the family business”, Malcolm uses his twisted genius for good, to help the NYPD solve crimes and stop killers. He does this while dealing with an elegant and manipulative mother named Jessica (Young), an annoyingly normal sister named Ainsley (Sage), a homicidal father who’s still looking to bond with his prodigal son, and his own constantly evolving neuroses.
Malcolm works alongside his longtime mentor, Gil Arroyo (Phillips), and two detectives — no-nonsense Dani Powell (Perrineau) and JT Tarmel (Harts), a born-and-bred New Yorker who questions whether Bright is a psychopath himself.

The show is fantastic leading man is sexy the show is intelligent funny Dark interesting got lots of nuance and mystery please can we get a second season at least if not more
I love this new series, has all the elements I like, suspense, intrigue, solving murders and/or motive, much like Criminal minds, it holds my interest. I also like that the story line builds on history of the protagonist. Would really like to see a second Season.
Interesting premise, good casting but it suffers greatly from very poor music track. From opening theme and all the way through, music is, sad to say, annoying at best. It adds nothing.
I would suggest you check the track on “Evil.” Both are of a similar genre but Evil track is excellent. Not overt but enhances the plot line. Please consider making change and quickly before it’s too late.

I love Prodigal Son it’s a show that’s finally come along that my 13 yr old granddaughter and I take time to watch together! Leave it!
I I think this is one of the best shows going don’t know why it would be canceled I really like it.
This show is my absolute new favorite. The cast is superb and the story line is awesome. Tom Payne is riveting and I love seeing “Gil” back acting. Please do not cancel this series. I can hardly wait until it picks up again in January. I’m sure I will watch all the re-runs until then!

My Favorite new show I am going to go into withdrawals until it comes back in January. Really different from anything on tv now so I hope its on for a long time.

I love this show. The acting is so captivating. I do not want to see Prodigal Son cancelled, I will be very, very upset. Tom Payne and Michael Sheen are terrific.

I like the intriguing twist of the hero (Malcolm) being a creation of the ultimate psychopath nemesis, (Martin.)
Also appreciate that the hero suffers with PTSD from the extreme trauma associated with his father’s psychopathy.
I look forward to more history & character development.
