You might get to see Sam Beckett take another leap through time. Scott Bakula visited the ladies of The Talk on Thursday, and he was asked about the possibility of a Quantum Leap reboot. He didn’t laugh at the idea at all. In fact, he seemed quite interested in bringing the series back.
He said the following during the interview, per Deadline:
“I don’t know, I don’t know. But I know the fans would love to have a reboot. There are so many things going on right now that need to be put right, that are currently going wrong, that (Beckett) would be very, very busy. Lots to do.”
Quantum Leap aired between 1989 and 1993 on NBC, and the series ended with Sam still leaping through time. That means it would be quite easy for the series pick up now.
This is not the first time a Quantum Leap reboot or revival has been mentioned. Just last month, Jeff Bader revealed to Slash Film that a revival of the series could land on Peacock.

I hope you enjoy making it cause i enjoy it. I enjoyed Quantum Leap . couldn’t they just make a tv movie and settle a lot of things?.
it would have to be with Scott, and stockwell though,…i would not watch a “re-imagined”, “woke” version at all
this would be outstanding….even if it was only a 1 time limited series, or a series of tv movies, to continue and possibly end the story
I would definitely watch a reboot of Quantum Leap.
Well the final episode said he never leaped home. So he is out there forever till he dies. But I think it will work great as a limited focused series.
I just hope it is not a passing the torch to a younger leaper and then Scott is gone thing.
agree, if they did that, you know it would be a “woke” show after that, not against it, if it is a NEW/ORIGINAL show, but please stop doing that to classic GOOD shows.
I enjoyed Quantum Leap and hope that it will be back on TV very soon!!
