What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the Showtime cable channel, Ray Donovan stars Liev Schreiber, Alan Alda, Zach Grenier, Jon Voight, Dash Mihok, Eddie Marsan, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey, and Graham Rogers. The series centers on professional fixer Ray Donovan (Schreiber), who’s working to be the man his family needs him to be. While he makes progress with Dr. Amiot (Alda), there are dangers from the past that require the Ray Donovan of old. Between NYC mayor Ed Feratti (Grenier), an unrelenting NYPD officer hunting for the truth and clients old and new, Ray struggles to find the balance between fixing for clients and fixing himself. And when Feratti’s corruption brings a piece of Mickey’s past (Voight) back to New York, Ray is forced to seek answers to long-buried questions.

Will Showtime cancel or renew Ray Donovan for season eight? Since it continues to be one of the channel’s most popular series, my sense is that the show will continue as long as Schreiber and the producers want to keep making it. It’s hard to understand why one of your best series may not return. Before I found this show on Showtime I was ready to cancel my subscription, I’m sure if you choose to cancel the series I will also cancel your channel.
Only reason I pay extra to subscribe to Showtime is to watch Ray Donovan!!!! By far most exciting series ever. If Ray Donovan is not renewed will definitely be cancelling.
Yes Season 7 left alot of unanswered questions. This is why us viewers need a season 8 to wrap things up. Thete is so much about each character that needs to be resolved. I sure hope we are not left hanging. This was such a great show from the writers to the pairing of actors to the characters. Excellent show! Season 8 Please!!!!!
Ray Donovan is a great show. I hope it will be renewed. Cruel to leave us hanging after Season 7 episode 10. I like this one as well as a lot of other Showtime series, including Billions, Homeland, On Becoming a God in Central Florida, City on a Hill, and The Chi. Also like The Loudest Voice and The Circus. Basically, with this lineup, for me Showtime beats HBO.
Please keep it and plan for the finale. It’s too up in the air to cancel now. Plenty more action and stories to tell. It’s the only reason I have showtime. I don’t watch anything else on showtime. Please don’t cancel.
