What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the Showtime cable channel, Ray Donovan stars Liev Schreiber, Alan Alda, Zach Grenier, Jon Voight, Dash Mihok, Eddie Marsan, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey, and Graham Rogers. The series centers on professional fixer Ray Donovan (Schreiber), who’s working to be the man his family needs him to be. While he makes progress with Dr. Amiot (Alda), there are dangers from the past that require the Ray Donovan of old. Between NYC mayor Ed Feratti (Grenier), an unrelenting NYPD officer hunting for the truth and clients old and new, Ray struggles to find the balance between fixing for clients and fixing himself. And when Feratti’s corruption brings a piece of Mickey’s past (Voight) back to New York, Ray is forced to seek answers to long-buried questions.
Season Seven Ratings

Will Showtime cancel or renew Ray Donovan for season eight? Since it continues to be one of the channel’s most popular series, my sense is that the show will continue as long as Schreiber and the producers want to keep making it. Myself and my husband are very upset that they are not airing season 8 of Donovan!!! It’s an excellent series and deserves to be picked up. We are loyal fans here in Toronto Canada. We rely on quality shows like Donovan to make our marriage work!! We cozy up and look forward to each episode. We have invested in each character and it’s just not right to just yank them away from us.
Following cancellation of Donovan, and series ending of Homeland, I see no reason to keep Showtime.

Ray Donovan must return for an eight and even a ninth season. Best drama since The Sopranos! The entire cast on the show is amazing. Liev Schreiber portrayal of Ray-Ray is unmatched since James Gandolfini’s portrayal of Tony Soprano. Please renew Ray Donovan!

Was shocked to find out that ray donavon has been cancelled..i have been a fan since it aired way back when..and they say that there wasn’t as many people tuning in or some thing like that..so lets forget about the true ride or die fans that watch it religiously..like me..and then to leave us hanging..not happy..show time..its’probs one of the best shows out there and for going as long as it has..trust me i have watched my share of shows..and they tend to get boring along the way…i can’t say that about ray donavon..so lets get it back for season… Read more »
Fans deserve a Season 8 of Ray Donovan. There are too many loose ends that leave us feeling cheated and disappointed. I will cancel my subscription to Showtime if this bad decision is not reversed, because I will not support nonsense! One more season is not too much to ask!
Of course we need a season 8 for Ray Donovan!! If it has to be canceled, we need a season 8 to properly end the show. As this show is my very favorite on tv, I would rather not have it canceled at all. But please do a season 8 so we know where everyone ends up.
