What’s This TV Show About?
A FOX medical drama, The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Jane Leeves, Glenn Morshower, and Bruce Greenwood. The series centers on resident Dr. Devon Pravesh (Dayal), as well as Senior Resident Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Czuchry), and their colleagues at the Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. Although its motto is, “Committed to excellence,” the hospital is staffed with human beings, and humans are flawed. Now that Devon is on the other side of the institution’s velvet ropes, Conrad wants him to understand the reality of medicine and its delivery.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Resident on FOX averaged a 0.94 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.02 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 8% in the demo and up by 11% in viewership. Find out how The Resident stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.

Will FOX cancel or renew The Resident for season three? The ratings aren’t great but FOX has very few drama series on their schedule. I’m sure it will be renewed at this point. I would love to see The Resident Season 3 renewed I love the show it has some great actors and actresses in it. Conrad is the best in this show and I hope to see him and Emily get engaged this reason. Hope to seeing everyone in season 3
The Resident is my FAVORITE show–please renew for season 3. Love the storylines and all the characters, especially the RAPTOR. I wish my doctors were like him–he takes no crap off anyone!!!
The Resident has a great story line and I have enjoyed the first two season. There are a lot of loose ends that need to come to fruition. I can see another 2 seasons at least. Please provide closer before you send this hospital to the morgue. I’m sitting patiently in the waiting room.
Why do producers think that just axing series with no forward planning, with no conclusion, but with a cliff-hanger is acceptable to viewers? They must be idiots to think that we’ll start watching another of their incomplete series. I don’t watch ANY of them now – I wait until the series is finished and watch them online, if at all.
Please do not cancel The Resident. I absolutely love this show! I don’t watch tv but I do turn it on to watch this show! It’s awesome! Please please please don’t cancel it!!!! We have 7 hospitals in the area that I live in so there would be a lot of disappointed fans!
Please don’t cancel The Resident! I LOVE IT! As a Nurse Practitioner student I love how Nic is portrayed in this show! Also, I love Matt Czuchry since his Gilmore Girls days!
Do not take The Resident off… Please I just love it,, you cannot just pull it off.. I’m waiting to see how the female doctor and the make doctors get back together!! Please continue The Resident it’s so informative !! People need the truth of how a hospital can treat people!! Thank you!!

best show out right now!!! i have watched the last kingdom, and the netflix show “you” all have outstanding ratings this year and i would watch the resident over all of them! been watching sense day one of the first season and its amazing every single time!
