The 10-episode first season of the Roadies TV show premiered on Showtime, June 26, 2016. Executive producer Winnie Holzman talks about the possibilities a second season of Roadies might bring. Holzman previously worked on TV series including Huge, which was cancelled after one season on ABC Family (now Freeform), Once and Again, which was cancelled after one season on ABC, and My So-Called Life which was also cancelled after one season on the Alphabet Network.
A musical comedy drama series from Cameron Crowe, the Roadies TV series has yet to be renewed for season two. The cast includes: Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor, Colson Baker, and Ron White.

Are you thinking ahead to future seasons? Would this group of people stay with this band for multiple tours?
HOLZMAN: I think that will be up to Cameron and the conversations we have with Showtime, but we feel very elastic about it. We feel like we could stay with this band and continue. You could have it that a lot of these roadies end up on another tour. You could have it that they end up in another tour. I think it would be fun to mix it up. I can picture playing it out so many different ways, and I think that’s part of the fun of this show. You could keep this core group of roadies together, but you could have various things happen.
Here is more on the first season of the Roadies TV series, from Showtime:
The series gives an insider’s look at the reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of roadies who live for music and the de facto family they’ve formed along the way. ROADIES chronicles the rock world through the eyes of music’s unsung heroes and pays homage to the backstage workers who put the show on the road while touring for the successful arena-level group, The Staton-House Band.
What do you think? Have you been watching the first season of Roadies? How would you like a second season to play out? Should Roadies be cancelled or renewed? Tell us.
I think the show is fantastic. I hope there will be a season 2
Cancel. Good actors in a horroble, completely predictable plot where you are asked to suspend belief and buy what is scripted, however unlikely.
This sounds like someone who has forgotten how to dream and have fun. I think the writing of the show is great.
This is a great show! I love it more each time I watch it! The characters are all very interesting and the actors are excellent! The best part of the show is the music! Please don’t get rid of another good show and leave on the bad ones.
Please give us another season
I’m begging.
Just finished ep.9. Excellent. Please keep this show going.
This is one of the better shows on television. The characters are already becoming established. That usually takes more time. The only reason I have Showtime is for “Roadies”. Tanc Sade and Christopher Backus. Let’s look forward to another season and more to come.
Well done. Looking forward to another season. I enjoy the multi-layered drama and characters.
Love this show & having been in the rock & roll business in my twenties, it’s fun to relive my youth, though these characters. Looking forward to season 2 & the new adventures our team will encounter. RENEW – RENEW
Please renew. In love with show, telling friends and family and they don’t know about it… maybe try different season but please don’t cancel – you really have something here – it WILL catch on!
I love this show! I hope it is picked up for a second season. It wasn’t something I was into at first but now I love it.
Love this show! Renew renew!,
Please give Roadies another season! My wife and I watched it religiously, and watched each episode at least 3 times! Loved the characters, and clearly the arc of the long form story needs AT LEAST another season to fully play out….even without the tragic loss of Phil.
Dear Showtime,
This show needs an encore!!! One more season!!?
Love the show…..it’s right up there with “Homeland”
