The 10-episode first season of the Roadies TV show premiered on Showtime, June 26, 2016. Executive producer Winnie Holzman talks about the possibilities a second season of Roadies might bring. Holzman previously worked on TV series including Huge, which was cancelled after one season on ABC Family (now Freeform), Once and Again, which was cancelled after one season on ABC, and My So-Called Life which was also cancelled after one season on the Alphabet Network.
A musical comedy drama series from Cameron Crowe, the Roadies TV series has yet to be renewed for season two. The cast includes: Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino, Imogen Poots, Rafe Spall, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Peter Cambor, Colson Baker, and Ron White.

Are you thinking ahead to future seasons? Would this group of people stay with this band for multiple tours?
HOLZMAN: I think that will be up to Cameron and the conversations we have with Showtime, but we feel very elastic about it. We feel like we could stay with this band and continue. You could have it that a lot of these roadies end up on another tour. You could have it that they end up in another tour. I think it would be fun to mix it up. I can picture playing it out so many different ways, and I think that’s part of the fun of this show. You could keep this core group of roadies together, but you could have various things happen.

Renew! I need to know what happens with Reg at that door! I want to spend more time listening to Gooch in the front seat of the bus. And what were Chris and Tom talking about in the distance? Plus, I have not listened to and fallen in love with music in this way since I first discovered the radio as a kid.
Please keep this going. I never that Ron White was really tremendous actor.
I like the show very much & I really like how they bring musicians on every week. I think the story line is interesting & seeing what goes on behind the scenes is very cool. After watching the show it makes me feel like I’d like to go be a Roadie but too old for that now lol. Keep up the good work & looking forward to Season 2.
This show got better and better with each episode. I felt I could connect with all the characters and the music was fantastic Let’s hope the producers seriously consider renewal. I am a huge fan.
After many years living in Woodstock, this show made me remember… remembering great music and a melange of characters .. Missing that life. Many stories need to be told . Give is more please
I’m hoping against hope that this show gets picked up for at least a second season – it deserves to be seen by more and didn’t get enough of a chance. Unlike anything else on TV and I thought it was quirky and refreshing as well as being REAL. Great acting and fun to watch the characters behind the musicians … speaking of which: the guest artists were AMAZING. Such talent felt this show was worthwhile – how come more people aren’t watching? It just needs more time!
I think the show improved over time–as the characters developed more complexity, the stories became more absorbing. I think that there’s a great deal of stories that can continue with the premise.
Roadies was the best show no one was watching. I loved it and look forward to another season of the show. I have come to care about the characters and found the stories charming and fun to watch. A great Sunday night program. I hope something can be worked out between Showtime and Cameron Crowe to make another season happen. The possibilities for storytelling are almost endless considering how the show left off at the end of season one.
Please continue Roadies. It has excellent writers, realistic characters, great music and great guest musicians.
Love this show. Such a different perspective from the inside out! Bring it back and keep the music coming, but please no love triangles. I can turn on daytime tv for that!!!

So much to enjoy; the music was terrific, the acting was great and storylines had so much heart. Hope it is renewed!
I hope the series is renewed. I watched it faithfully all summer. I’d like to see more clashes between Reg and the roadies; don’t try to make Kelly Ann too sweet; more problems for Bill (like when he couldn’t find an opening act).
