CBS had been filling the Mondays at 9pm timeslot with sitcoms for years and years. Now, they’re trying a new drama — Scorpion. Will this change be a ratings success? Will the show be renewed for a second season? Will it be cancelled? Stay tuned.
Based on real-life events, Scorpion revolves around computer expert Walter O’Brien (Elyes Gabel) and his team of brilliant misfits. They’re this country’s last line of defense against complex, high-tech threats. The series also stars Katharine McPhee, Robert Patrick, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jadyn Wong, and Ari Stidham.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
1/12 update: Scorpion and two other shows have been renewed for a second season by CBS.
Final season averages: 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.96 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Scorpion TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
This show was awesome…like NUMB3RS meets Touch…amazing and relatable…the characters are genius but likeable…this should be be a 10 year show!! LOVED IT
as unbelievable as it sounds, my wife, the TV HATER!!! actually thought the show was interesting even with the need to suspend belief so many times. I almost fell out of my chair when she said it. So maybe this show has some promise.
Absolutely LOVE this show!!!!!
Great concept and has a lot of promise if it does go to unrealistic on us at is tended to do last night, with the car, airplane scene. Also the fact that all are planes would fly around until they ran out of gas was also very unrealistic. However, I think they have grat concept and with good writing they can have a compelling and entertaining show, with out jumping the shark with wildly unrealistic situations.
For a show depicting genius at work, the story was totally bogus.
1. Airplanes can land on their own. Without Comm, etc. They would divert to good weather airports, see and avoid others, while communicating with each other. No one would shoot them down in these circumstances.
2. The airplane had to be doing 160 mph minimum and no one can climb outside and dangle a cable at that speed, let alone match up with a car on 2 miles of runway. Complete BS! This was the best you had for an opener??
3. Get some better technical consultants!
Walter claims his poor interpersonal skills are due to the fact that the right hemisphere of his brain is virtually non-functional. This makes sense. What does not make sense is that Walter is left-handed, a right brain function.
Loved it….misfits are often forgotten, but make big impacts. This one is great. Positive.
Well, finally a refreshing new show with interesting and intellectual characters. Fresh idea with fresh faces! I can’t wait to see where it takes us but I hope everything doesn’t take place in LA…….. I have to agree that the kid and his mother add tremendously to the story line. Awesome creativity with excellent writing. I hope they continuously keep us on the edge of our seat without going too ridiculously unbelievable. I agree that sometimes fact can be stranger than fiction but gotta keep it real.
Really enjoyed the show. Will definitely add it to my DVR list.
Even tho some of the situations were ridiculous I found myself enjoying it. I’ll be back
Thoroughly enjoyed this show. I really hope this becomes a huge hit. I don’t watch a lot of NEW TV, but I will be watching Scorpion.
Kinda like Sheldon & Leonard get serious & go to work for Barack. I did choose it over the 2nd season of “Sleepy Hollow”, though.
Love it … My new favorite show! Love it when misfits find a home and that kid is magnificent!!!
Enjoyed this series premier more than any I’ve seen so far. I expect to continue watching.
Love it…
