TV show description:
This dramatic TV show is based on the life of Walter O’Brien. O’Brien (played by Elyes Gabel) is a self-proclaimed computer expert and an eccentric genius. He and his team of brilliant misfits — the Scorpion team — comprise the last line of defense against complex, high-tech threats of the modern age — Homeland Security’s new think tank.
Toby Curtis (Eddie Kaye Thomas) is an expert behaviorist who can read anyone. Happy Quinn (Jadyn Wong) is a mechanical prodigy while Sylvester Dodd (Ari Stidham) is a statistics guru.
Pooling their extensive technological knowledge to solve mind-boggling predicaments amazes federal agent Cabe Gallo (Robert Patrick) — a man who shares a harrowing history with O’Brien.
While this socially awkward group is comfortable with each other’s humor and quirks, life outside their circle confounds them. As a result, they rely on Paige Dineen (Katharine Hope McPhee) — who has a young, gifted son — to translate the world for them.
These nerdy masterminds have found the perfect job: a place where they can apply their exceptional brainpower to solve the nation’s crises. They also help each other learn how to fit in.
Episode #93 — A Lie in the Sand
Team Scorpion heads to Northeast Africa where they must carefully navigate a minefield in order to save the lives of local villagers. Also, Paige and Walter’s relationship takes a shocking turn, and Toby and Happy make an important decision.
First aired: April 16, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Scorpion TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?
My prediction is that at some point the kid gets an IQ test and scores higher than any of the others. Actually not that tough to predict because clues were already dropped in the pilot. Kind of like the premis though. The kid goes from being considered as an intervert with functioning skills to a super brain who is beyond even these geniuses abilities. Reminds me of Einstien who had a teacher who thought he was learning disabled because he couldn’t do some simple thing like tie he is own shoes…..When you have a brain calculating so many things it’s… Read more »
So far, so good. Rather predictable, but in today’s world, these introverted people are actually believable. Who better to stop a hacker than someone who’s head lives in a computer? Sad but true. What will be the test of the program is the type of situations and problems they have to solve. If those challenges are creative and engaging the show will be worth keeping. They need more than the last minute save the world episode too…. something that could really happen. Perhaps things that have an international edge… mentally engaging people in China or Russia. Maybe something medical, with… Read more »
Excellent. This is going to be a very entertaining series
RENEW, RENEW : )
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved it. Scorpion has a new an exciting twist to it’s shows. I look forward to seeing many more shows. Please DO NOT cancel.
I loved Scorpion last night! It was awesome! Katherine McPhee and the Elyes Gabel have great chemistry. It is also very touching that Walter is helping her character “connect” with her son.
Please give us Scorpion Season 5. My family’s absolute favorite show!
Kinda like Sheldon & Leonard get serious. I did choose “Scorpion” over “Sleepy Hollow”. I’ll watch it again. It has a girl in it.
Pilot was great but I am almost certain the story lines will wear thin and we’ll loose interest like under the dome. Some of the acting seemed fake. I have mixed feelings. Too early to tell.
I also LOVE SCORPION!
Love it! Fantastic 4!
Love it!
The pilot was really bad on so many levels.. Plot, acting writing and action. Characters and dialog were laughable. I don’t usually react so much to the pilot episodes of new shows trying to wait a couple of episodes before “jumping on board” or “abandoning ship” but this one really is awful. There are so many good shows being cancelled and some would be better saved than adding more bad shows.
I know what you mean, but I didn’t find it quit as bad as you did. This pilot was entertaining. The problem of course is that it’s going to wear really thin before long if these people keep pulling saves out of their hats with seconds to go. From the pilot that does seem the direction this will take. Personally I’d rather see a series like this take on a realistic tone where these genius individuals have to use their skills without all the drama that turns them into mental super heroes like this pilot did. Something that would get… Read more »
Couldn’t agree more! They have a great cast, interesting characters with a good story line they just need to keep it real and lose the sensationalism. We really need a good cerebral thinking persons show, I’m so tired of brain dead repeats with different names. Are you listening CBS???
Well, after my biting “thumbs down” on the pilot,, I did not abandon the series.. I have to admit,, I am getting a bit hooked on it. It still is a bit fantastic but then,, I suppose it is supposed to be just that. I think the characters are becoming interesting in the way they complement each other. I don’t agree the young lady techie is out of place and should be dropped or changed in her actions.. I think she is good and appealing. She is spontaneous and doesn’t shrink from any task. I think the show is OK… Read more »
I enjoyed the first episode. It’s fast quick thinking intelligent yet quirky and feeling. Loved the car/jet manuevers. It cleverly plays genius alongside normalcies of life.
Just seen the one episode and loved it. Hope it continues on !
I filmed it tonight and I’m looking forward to watching it. I hope I’m not unhappy when I finish.
