TV show description:
This half-hour comedy revolves around Harry Dacosta (Adam Korson) — a likable bartender and permanent bachelor. He enjoys life and spends his time avoiding responsibilities. One day, Harry discovers that his previous forays into the world of sperm donation has resulted in kids — lots of them. He soon finds himself entangled in the lives of his newfound children and their less-than-thrilled families.
Harry becomes an overnight father figure to nine-year-old Billy and teenage Anastasia, when he discovers that both their families used his sperm.
Billy Jones-Krasnoff (William Ainscough) is an oddball kid who plays to the beat of his own drum. The idea of achieving popularity isn’t even on his radar. Having lesbian parents is not weird for him -– it’s just life for this charming kid. He’s a lot like Harry, which could be why they get along so well.
Billy’s parents are Zoey (Stephanie Anne Mills) and Michelle (Amanda Brugel). Zooey is free-spirited, likes reading chakras and tarot cards, and is short on common sense. She’s also extremely empathetic and has a big heart so it’s no surprise that she welcomes Harry into the family.
Michelle on the other hand is tough and protective of her wife and son. She wants nothing to do with this sperm donor and intruder and feels like she’s enough to take care of her family.
Fifteen-year-old Anastasia (Abby Ross) is a typical teenage daughter who has no trouble letting the world know how much she hates her parents. She’ll still cuddle up with her Dad on the sofa when things are bad, or share a cry with her mom if she needs a shoulder. Naturally, Anastasia uses her unique situation with Harry to try to get her own way.
Her parents are Jonathan (Matt Baram) and Janet (Laura de Carteret). He was a nerdy kid and so took great pride in becoming the youngest partner in his law firm and married Janet, the cutest girl in college. It was a blow to his ego when they needed to use a sperm donor and does not appreciate Harry’s arrival. Janet is a child psychologist and self-proclaimed perfect mom to her daughter.
On a bus, Harry also meets Rose (Carrie-Lynn Neales). She’s smart, single, and independent, and she has decided to do the whole motherhood thing on her own. Overeducated and underemployed, Rose believes that Harry may have what she needs.
Harry works at Pour House Bar and his boss and best friend is Irene (Vanessa Matsui). She knows he’s spent the last 10 years trying not to get a girl pregnant, so she finds Harry’s choice to be a part of these kids’ lives completely baffling.
Episode #26 — Thanks for Coming
Rose discovers she has feelings for Harry, while the families are torn when they find out Harry might not be Billy and Anastasia’s real sperm dad.
First aired: June 5, 2014.
What do you think? Do you think that the Seed TV series should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season?
I keep hearing Seed was cancelled which I hope is wrong. I just discovered the show and completely binge watched it. I absolutely love it and hope it gets renewed. 🙂 fingers crossed! It would be a shame to leave it with Rose and him getting together right before finding out he has a daughter. I definitely want to know what happens there!
If this link is true, it unfortunately could be cancelled:

Thanks!
I love this show! You can’t cancel it especially the way the last episode ended. He’s got another kid and him and rose are together.
it is a good show, i would not like to see it canceled…..
It’s a great show – renew for many more seasons
I like this show and its very funny to watch so I say renewed for another season.
This show is really funny and different. I hate when I get hooked on a show & then its cancelled. If the show was failing then it wasn’t because the show sucked. So instead of taking down what could be a hit series, try airing at another time or day. Don’t take it away without doing everything you can (and then some) to keep this show on.
Please and Thank You
HOW CAN I WATCH ALL ‘SEED’ EPISODES THAT ARE ONGOING IN CANADA. I WOULD LIKE TO WATCH THEM HERE IN THE US. WHAT INTERNET CHANNEL DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD TO WATCH?
You can watch both seasons here: http://watchseries.lt/serie/Seed_(2013)
hope they don’t cancel this show, it is funny & what happen with the other women that got his sperm…..?
I’m pretty sure it will continue in Canada, but the U.S., most likely, won’t continue showing it. Just try to keep up with it online, when they make a 3rd season.
Thanks for the link. I am so mad at the CW all the dreck they leave on the air and they only air 2 eps of this series. I actually really enjoyed the show and was shocked to see that they cancelled it.
Please don’t cancel!! I look forward to this show every week!!! Great cast, writing, and cast!!! Can’t believe it doesn’t have larger audience. US station didn’t give it much of a chance.
This Show Deserves To Be Renewed For A Third Season Especially Due To The Season 2 Ending. Its Funny, Touching & Its The Kind Of Show You That You Can’t Wait To See The Next Episode
Where did you see other EPISODES they only showed 2 on the CW here in Chicago. Those 2 were the pilot and the 1st episodes.
I absolute love this tv show.
don’t cancel this show, my daughter and i love it. i was just trying to find out when it was going to be back on again. we thought it was very funny.
DON’T CANCEL!!!
This is the funniest show on TV – can’t believe it doesn’t have a good audience.
Hmmmm, I’d say that the description of Rose is lacking. Sure, she”s “smart, single, and independent”, but she’s also drop dead gourgeous. Even amongst all the hotties that Harry gets, she stands out. The only one even remotely close to Rose (in terms of straight up physical beauty) is that doctor that Harry is currently dating. Sure, she’s real pretty, but she’s clamjamming Rose; she’s got to go… But not before breaking Harry’s heart and convincing him even more that bachlorhood is the way to go. That’s right, doc will be ‘jamming poor Rose long after she is written off… Read more »
