There’s good news and bad news for fans of the Shadowhunters TV show. There’s 12 more episodes of season three to come. On the downside, that dozen installments will be the end for Shadowhunters — and viewers will have to wait until Spring 2019 to see them.
A supernatural drama based on The Mortal Instruments book series by Cassandra Clare, Shadowhunters stars Katherine McNamara, Dominic Sherwood, Alberto Rosende, Emeraude Toubia, Matthew Daddario, Isaiah Mustafa, Alisha Wainwright, and Harry Shum Jr. The series centers on Clary Fray (McNamara) who, upon turning 18, learned she is from a long line of demon hunters called “Shadowhunters.” In season three, the Shadowhunters and Downworlders try to return to normal, in the wake of Valentine’s death, but everyone is keeping secrets, which never ends well.
Here are the details about the series ending:

What do you think? Dou you like the Shadowhunters TV show? Will you be watching the final episodes? Are you sorry that Freeform is ending the series?
Deeply disappointed that the show was cancelled. He book series has so many storylines and characters to be explored and interwoven over vast time spans which give the series so much material for additional seasons. The producers did an excellent job of staying true to the book and portraying the characters as the book described them. It is seldom that I enjoy movies of shows derived from novels as the producers “creative license” usually destroys the original manuscript.
Honestly there is no series like shadowhunters for me. It’s simply the best. I just recently repeated the whole series from season 1 to season 3, and I think it’s a shame that it ended. But seeing the ending the second time with less emotions, I believe there is an opening for season 4, should it ever be reconsidered
This show was great in my opinion. Surprisingly I even enjoyed the tv series better than the books! I always have been a fan of Cassie’s books but I didn’t enjoy the second half of her book series all that much and I really like how they didn’t go completely by her books in the tv series. Also her books went a little too heavy on the romance instead of focusing on the actual story about the shadow Hunter world in my opinion and I loved that the tv series had a perfect balance of both! I really wish they… Read more »
Super upset that Shadowhunters is over. I have followed since the first episode. Read the books when I was in the hospital on bedrest over 8 years ago. Loved the books and loved the series. Disappointed in how it ended and really wish there was more.
I love this show so naturally I got very upset and sad when I heard the show got cancelled. I’ve for real watched the show twice in between the first and second part of season 3. I rarely watch series and movies in the sci-fi genre. It’s rare to find a show like this that has such a good and addicting storyline and writing. This show has found a perfect balance regarding the sci-fi part. Even tho most of the show is about the werewolves, warlocks, vampires etc they doesn’t overkill the storyline or ruin it by making the whole… Read more »
Why are you always cancelling the good shows and keeping the crappie perverted ones.
I have been a devoted fan of Shadowhunters since it began. I wish it could be saved. Love all my Shadow world friends. Nephlim and downworlders alike. By the Angel, I will miss them a lot.
It never fails that when there is a good show to watch on TV that it gets canceled. Unless…it is a reality, survivalist, heavy weights / overweight, police or hospital/ medical TV series.
For those who love the supernatural and out of the ordinary TV series are simply out of luck.
Look at the series canceled for Heroes, Wayward Pines and Colony.
I really enjoy this show and wish there would be continued seasons. Will not be able to find another show that is so exciting, fun and fantasy.
So super BUMMED!!!☹️ I really enjoyed this show. It had a flare all its own. Not your average supernatural show. Hate to see it leave.
