TV show description:
Based on a novel by Stephen Hunter and the 2007 feature film, this TV show revolves around an expert marksman who is coaxed back into action for what seems like the most important mission of his lifetime.
Born the son of a Medal of Honor-winning Marine, Bob Lee Swagger (Ryan Phillippe) followed his father’s footsteps into the Corps and became the greatest sniper in the history of the U.S. Marines. After several successful tours and countless heroic (though not always authorized) actions, Bob Lee was wounded in battle, both physically and psychologically — shot through the hip by the same sniper who killed his spotter and best friend, Donny Fenn.
Now three years after the shooting, the former Gunnery Sergeant is retired and living a quiet life with his supportive wife, Julie (Shantel VanSanten), and their daughter, Mary (Lexy Kolker), in Washington State. But while he no longer wears the uniform of a Marine, Bob Lee still has the heart of a warrior, and he’s still the best man behind a long gun.
It’s these qualities that send his former Marine commander, Isaac Johnson (Omar Epps), calling for help when a sniper threatens to assassinate the President. Unable to refuse the call to defend his country, Bob Lee agrees and finds himself the patsy in a massive conspiracy with world-changing stakes.
To clear his name, he will have to evade the untold resources of both the U.S. Government and the conspirators and unravel the plot behind the assassination, all the while keeping his family safe — an impossible task for any man. But then, he’s not just any man.
Other characters include ex-military bad guy Jack Payne (Eddie McClintock), FBI Special Agent Nadine Memphis (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), FBI Special Agent Claire Hopkins (Tembi Locke), FBI agent John Renlow (David Marciano), and Russian diplomat Grigory Krukov (Sean Cameron Michael).
Episode #31 — Red Light
Bob Lee attempts to put an end to Atlas, all while trying to save his marriage and tie up the remaining threads from his past; Isaac, Nadine and Harris find new roles for themselves in D.C.
First aired: September 13, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Shooter TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?
I really loved this show and I know I sound dramatic but it breaks my heart they canceled it this was a really good show can you all just reconsider I have to know what happens to Mary and bob lee and what’s up with the Germans please
I hope they reconsider and make some more episodes. Very disappointed to see it only went 3 seasons.
Should have been renewed, networks don’t care about the viewers.when a show runs this long they should give it one more season to wrap up the story.
I hate watching shows anymore because If I like it they just gonna cancel it for some stupid reality crap cause its cheaper.
I would really appreciate a fourth season and beyond of Shooter. It’s way more entertaining than most of the shows on TV. More often than not, a replacement show is rarely better than the canceled show.
I think I will cancel USA Network. How do they determine ratings? I am currently in the process of getting rid of networks that no longer value me. It must be all about the money. Surprise, I am now saving money and you are losing money.
This was a tremendous show, someone needs to bring it back and carry on. One of the best shows on T V.
Great series! Some other network needs to pick it up!
Please do not cancel this show. This is one of the few good TV programs to watch. Hopefully some other network will pick it up.
Sad to hear that shooter has been canceled. We have real enjoyed watching it. With the crap that’s on TV now, there needs to be something worth watching.
Love Bob Lee. Wish it were renewed or picked up by another network.
Excellent TV show, needs to be renewed. Currently on season 3, totally gripped. Can’t get enough of the show. When I’m talking with other it’s the same sentiment.
It’s one of the most explosive, action packed, gripping TV shows I’ve watched in a while.
I actually like the series and would love to see it picked up even though I did not like to see Bobby Lee loose his wife
I was disappointed when they cancelled this show, and no Bob, we aren’t getting tired of tired of this kind of show. What we are getting tired of is mindless cit-coms and liberal drivel on the tube. This one was believable. Maybe too close to real life for some.
It’s a good show, but many of us are really tired of these conspiracy stories that never seem to end because there is always another conspiracy to come along. Yes, let this go and venture into another story where the ending comes in a reasonable time.
Please do NOT cancel! Hopefully another network will pick it up!
